Just a quick call for observations:

My dad's paying some nontrivial sum for real-time stock quotes. I remembered that Google's supposed to get real-time from certain exchanges. Oddly, so far I've only see that happen in Chrome. Under IE8 and Firefox, the quotes are static after page load (except I noticed the little graphs updating).

Has anyone else noticed this?

What does your dad need real time stock quotes for?

If it's part of a job, he may be getting more than just realtime quotes, such as some of the fancier elements of, say, a bloomberg terminal.

Not for a job. He's just doing his own trading. Right now I think he's using Yahoo, but he prefers Firefox to Chrome and I'm a little perplexed as to why it works in one and not the other. Trying to see if that's a problem on my/our ends or what.

The real time update works for me in Firefox.
