Cesca how did your mom ever manage to have you?

she's not a rabid feminist at all.

She just had a paranoia about me dropping out of Uni. I think. Plus, she had me essentially wrapped in cotton wool from when I was 12 'cos I'd been so ill for so long.

Oh I don't actually think she is, I was just teasing. Moms worry about their kids, it isn't always logical. I get it.

Out of curiosity, why are you so sick? If it's ok to ask, that is.

erm, ME from when I was about 12 and then various joint problems, and yeah, never really got over most of it.

Matt it's pretty obvious to everyone here that you're intentionally simplifying the game in order to cast it in a negative light. When you have to resort to that it's clear that you have no basis for the claims that you're making. You're arguing from two separate positions, one being that gameplay is important and dodging is not a significant addition to gameplay despite you having seen videos that shows that it plays quite similar to GTA which brings much more than dodging to the table and the other position being that it isn't gameplay that concerns you but rather that MMOs are worthless and it would just be better if you could play the same game with a small group of friends. You're caught in a contradiction.
    Look.

This started with "Don't show me character creation, show me gameplay.".

Moved into "Gameplay doesn't look like anything I haven't seen before."

And finally into "Dressup in GTA4 for $15 or whatever a month isn't a feature that's going to get me to play the game, when I can already do it for free in GTA4."

And this is an inaccurate characterization of what the game offers. Since you can't see that we're done here.
Fine. Tell me what it offers that's so different, that's worth the subscription and hours of my time. Enlighten me.

Guys, how do you transfer your cell phone carrier? Like, do I need to cancel with Verizon before I go to T-Mobile or can T-Mobile do all that for me?

Were you planning on bringing your cell phone number to another carrier?

Yeah, since I'd rather not be arsed to figure out who to tell. Plus you can't port Google Voice numbers, I don't think.

So they take care of everything? Good, good.

Yeah, contact the carrier you're switching to and tell them you want to port your number over. They have to make a request to your current carrier and it can take up to 48 hours for it to go through but when it does it automatically cancels service with your current carrier.

Don't most multiplayer FPSes top out at a relatively low number of players?

I played one MMO-lite korean game that was pretty much shit outside of the combat. The combat was arena pvp style, like 5v5 and you had to aim your ranged attacks and connect with your melee attacks, you could block and side-step and throw people who were blocking etc.

I can't wait to see that kind of combat in a fully actualized MMO game.

32/64. Some claim 128. APB is claiming it can host 100. It's more a problem with peoples individual connections than it is the game though.

Some FPS's that are coming out now can get over 100 players on a server I guess. But that's the most I've heard of. Compared to an MMO though that's still peanuts.

Imagine a fps game where its a whole city for the map, one team has to go around doing crimes, robbing banks or killing people, whatever they want to get money. While the other team has to try and stop them or catch them. Basically cops n robbers online.

Sure I probably wouldnt pay 15 bucks a month to play it, but honestly I dont know much about the details of the game, I dont think that many specifics have been released? I just know I rather wait and see then act like a foam spewing retard. :P

edit: oooo Pony no subscription fee? Thats definitly got me more interested.

well, the worst of it was from when I was 12 till I was about 16. Then came about 9 years of horrific bi-polar (well, from ages 14-23) mixed with increasingly bad joint problems (mostly focused on my knees).

These days it's the joint problems that are the real kicker and my memory still isn't that great. The immune system has never fully recovered and I manage the bipolar without pills (finally) after having learnt to know the signs and deal with things as best I can.
