PSP gamers? | What is Omegathon?

Does anyone know if they will have a wireless connection at pax for PSP gamers to play their games with each other on, it would be awesome to play lumines with some other human players. It would cost money to get my PSP in though wouldn't it?

Also I know I'm probley stuck in 80's but what is Omegathon exactly? Sorry if its an obvious thing, but I just don't know. Thanks.

    You can play PSP games AD-HOC, so you dont need a central wireless node to play. Just be within 50ft of the other player and the PSP will do it all for you. Shouldn't cost any money to get your PSP in either.

    The Omegathon is a three day tournament for 20 players who are randomly selected from the preregiesters. 6 rounds of gaming elminates the contestants until only one is left to claim a huge prize. Thats the two sentance version at least.

    Thats cool, probably a wise choice you waited to get your PSP, for the newer models and dead pixel fixes along with the price drop. As for myself, eh, I'm a sucker for technology and puzzle games.

    well coded arms is just stupendous. if nobody brings coded arms to pax then heads will roll. because i'll have nobody to frag.

    If there is an official lumines tourny, then the winner should have the honor of getting OWNED by robert and his mathmatical skills.

    I swear, I'm retiring from any game with the word 'Revolution" in the title. I must be the only person who breathed a sigh of relief at not being called for the Omegathon this year.

    While I second the idea of a Meteos tourney, there would be some difficulty choosing a list of approved planets, I'd imagine.

    A Lumines tourney, eh? I assume we'd have to bring our own PSP, right? It sure would suck if somebody jacked the one they were using.

    Oh, and Advance Wars DS is coming out a few days before PAX. Anybody want to play that?

    has anyone tested the range for adhoc games? like actually home tested it. it would be nice to stand on the bottom floor of the meydenbauer with my PSP and be able to join a game being played up in the exibition room. :D
