This was a pretty cool ending to the FC: Run mini (and I like Williams' art a lot):
So the Human Flame turns into this big baddie who's always on fire who the JLA defeats and has in prison in space, and John goes back and says how J'onn was a good friend, and does this:

I wouldn't say he's a main character, but he was in every issue. It was about the Human Flame "running from" the JLA (John, Firestorm, and Red Tornado), although they weren't even actively going after him at first
Of course, it comes across as bizarrely immature, given that you're talking about the murder of one of his closest friends.
It's like those damned lines the redhead in CSI: Miami is always spouting; it just seems disrespectful and lame to me to have someone be that flip with regards to death (although we do of course have Blackest Night...)

It's been a little while. John is undoubtedly still angry about it, but not in the fiery passion kind of way. In such a state of mind, the mocking gesture with the cell phone seems perfectly plausible to me.
So did anyone else notice in Planetary that the diagram of the time machine that Jakita thought was "weirdly familiar" was that time machine from the JLA/Planetary not-crossover issue? I liked that.
So who wants to explain the ending of Secret Warriors The list to me?
As in, what the fuck is leviathan?
I don't think we're supposed to know exactly what it is. It's obviously some organization that a ton of people - including some of the higher-ups in Hydra - are a part of.
Criminal. Planetary. Doctor Voodoo. Secret Warriors: The List. The R.E.B.E.L.S. annual. Mustache Buddies in Strange Tales. Fuck, even Haunt was a fun book.

It was a good week for comics.
Fucking hell. I missed Planetary and Dr. Voodoo and Secret warriors this week. God dammit I need to stop sharing a list with my dad, he keeps making bad decisions.

It's a full circle thing. The Human Flame used a cell phone camera to record the death of the Martian Manhunter in Final Crisis

Ohh, now it makes more sense. Thanks for the reminder.

I think I'm going to have to pick up X-Babies next week.
That's a lot better than I thought the series would be.
Look at little Zabu!

"How many bloody X-Men books do you need? Uncanny X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, X-Men Fucking Legacy, and now X-BABIES?"
"But honey, I need it for the complete picture."
And then she'll implode, and we'll all be together in the singularity. It'll be fun, really!

Totally worth the mayhem and carnage, as X-babies is the best x-book out there right now.
I mean, it was all Ellis techno-babble... But it's so good.

Although R.E.B.E.L.S. I did get and love.
