I thought it was pretty weak. Like, fancy effects and decent cinematography and such, but its like the story was fucked up for the sole purpose of being fucked up.

I like Terry Gilliam's stuff a lot. He does... interesting storyboards.

SLC Punk & Swing Kids = awesome. SLC Punk might not be unappreciated, but Swing Kids sure is.
(I remember on the commentary there being a scene with Matthew Lillard being 'drawn' out of the scene while the rest of the cast stayed in place, and the creator said he'd never reveal how it was done.

Magnolia's got a cult following, sort of, but interestingly enough, Kevin Smith hates it. It's like a contradiction.

No, I'm sorry, but the story was the weakest part of that movie.

After he mentioned the hypnosis chick I could see that coming from a mile away.

Oldboy is not some kind of cinema classic, not by far.

what the hell did you see coming? the ending is completely ambiguous! it's left unclear whether he remembers or he doesn't.

i enjoy the movie most as an analysis of what revenge bloodlust does to people, but i also enjoyed the basic story a lot.
