I keen. As soon as I get a chance, I'm creating a character that turns on an internet forum for ignoring his billiant character ideas. Oh will then you will be sorry!
Totally could be a Batman bad guy. Totally. Although I'd have to add a facial deformity.
I had to give the nod to Desktop Hippie. Red Rover was neat, but reminded me a little too much of Sparky, Geebs' was good, but I felt like too many wacky entries had already won, I'm not going to vote for myself anymore.
Desktop Hippie's idea sounds like it would actually make a pretty cool graphic novel. I also like Dogshark and Rex and would have voted for it if Geebs had gone the horror route.
I was mucking about with something to do with the ravens in the tower of London when Schrodinger's Cat came to mind. I'm still slightly amazed no one else thought of it first.
Oh boy - 12 votes! I'm totally using a cute little kitten in all my submissions from now on!
I did draw a few Seamonkey sketches, but man, they're just.. bad. I'm a real stickler for accuracy when drawing animals, and anytime I need to, I usually sit down and draw a bunch of sketches from photo references, until I figure out a way to depict it in my style. And I just didn't have time to muck about with that this time.
I do understand why people didn't vote for it though, as there wasn't much meat to the idea. I honestly kind of wracked my brain for a while to come up with a good punny name, as I believe that's the secret to great superheroes. I knew I wanted to do a monkey/ape character, and at first was going with Spidey-Monkey, a six-armed capuchin, but later remembered that Ben 10 had done that already. So I pored through my pile of unused character ideas, found the Saltwater Sorcerer, a guy I made up for my Avengers/JLA analogue team called The Seven Wonders of the World, and decided to give him a monkey sidekick/familiar.

I was going to do something about a goth Panda but I had one of those moments where it would look like a Kung-Fu Panda knock off and I didn't want that. I ain't gonna pull a Sentry on their Superman, see.
I also had a character called Rosie the Ribbiter who was like an anthropomorphous frog Roseanne character but that wasn't part of the rules.
Red Rover wins because my family always has/had dachshunds as pets. Female dachshunds are completely bipolar.

Geebs, fix my vote! Deny yourself!
Gave my vote to Red Rover. Much as I loved Geebs entry, (T-Rex with cybernetic arms!) I thought Red Rover had more story potential.
*edit* Really? I'm the only Red Rover fan? Really?
The Unlucky Cricket - like a lucky cricket, but unlucky. Cursed by the gods after cheating in the great Chinese Zodiac Race.

It was actually a pretty good idea, though!
