Slow week, Ill probably get Batman and the reprint of Captain America since I missed it the first time around.
Oh and Fables too, this issue is a special one where they had fans write in questions they wanted to see answered. It should be fairly interesting.

It's okay. It's really just for the people who read Son of M and want some sort of continuation. Frazer Irving draws a terrible Black Bolt. The first issue was pretty terrible, but the second wasn't really that bad.

Is the current Fables storyline good? Should I just wait for the TPB? I might pick it up next week with some other stuff.

Well the last arc was about 2 issues long and after this month a new arc should start. If you have all the other trades and can wait for it you might as well get the next one.

But if you wanna be a cool dude like me you'll get the monthlies.

The storyline is really interesting though, if you ask me. I would suggest it to anyone.

I enjoyed the issue, but the characterization (both in art and dialogue) of Jonathan and Martha seemed off.

Speaking of McDuffie I'm torn on FF... I liked it well enough, and I do enjoy his writing but... fuck man I just hate Storm and I hate her (and T'Challa to a much lesser extent) being shoehorned into
    a fucking Galactus story.

I think I'll give it at least one more issue, but I just hope they bring back Sue and Reed soon (when the new movie comes out).

The new movie comes out in like four months. They won't even be done with the first story arc by then, probably.

And I didn't mind Black Panther and Storm in that context, at least here. They didn't seem to be instant experts at the situation. I think this arc will probably be better if you have an idea of what happened in Beyond!

    Ultimate Spider-Man #107
    Ultimate X-Men #80

Someone give me a heads-up when main continuity Spidey and Fantastic Four are worth buying again.

Did you read Fantastic Four today? They just recently switched creative teams, and this is really the first issue where you can tell.

I don't know what to tell you about Spider-Man.

Maybe I'm just letting my inherent dislike of Storm get in the way. I have never been a fan of the character, and I thought the marriage was a terrible idea. However I do really like Black Panther (man I miss the Priest run) and since I cant abide Hudlin's writing this is probably a good chance to read him written by a writer I do like.

I'll probably read at least through the first arc before I decide wether or not to drop it.

Yeah, I did. I generally really like McDuffie, but I think the Storm and T'Challa thing is pretty dumb and that last oversized issue was just clunky and uninspired.

Hudlin himself is calling it the "Black-tas-tic" four.

I think if anyone else called it that they would be made to apologize.

I think most people just ignore Hudlin when he talks.

I'm debating whether or not to pick up Wonder Woman just to see how bad it gets.

Haha, Blacktastic Four, I like that. I need to work that into a sig or something. :^:

I liked the issue of FF, especially since it's bringing together post-Annihilation Surfer, Gravity, and four of my favorite Earth heroes. McDuffie handled Storm and T'Challa fairly well, even taking a little jab at T'Challa's sorta know-it-all attitude that seems to get a lot of flak in BP. Ben calling him T'Charlie was great. :D

When he dies, I hope they write "Worst Affirmative Action Hire, EVER" on his grave. His corpse should be trolled.

Lot of McDuffie this week. Besides FF, he also did an Action Comics fill-in and Firestorm (Which is really awesome).

    Well dotdotdot

What I meant by that was that you can't even put a normal book up to the Bruce Jones Nightwing run for comparison. It's more like..."Yeah, Judas was bad, but it still wasn't like the Bruce Jones Nightwing."

So, Blue Beetle came out this week, and it was probably the best issue out of the entire run. Jaime still feels pretty bland and generic as a character, but at least now he has something resembling an interesting, cool rogue's gallery, and that can do a lot for a character. Next issue's got the special guest appearance of Guy Gardner, which should be awesome. It's also supposed to touch on Ted, which will be much more awesomer.

Connor Hawke: Dragon's Blood, came out as well. There's not a lot I can say about it I haven't said before. It's classic comics; big fights, explosions, monsters, the underdog hero, and some pretty good dialogue. It's not genius by any means, but it's a ton of fun.

    I already prefer McDuffie's BP to Hudlin's.

McDuffie's BP is less arrogant and more royal. Less "Look Reed you can't do SHIT that I can't" and more "We can handle it." "Then why are their bombs at all?" "...Touché."
EDIT: And the more I read, the more he seems like a "Lovable jackass" like Johnny. Just tossing out a jab every now and then.
