It's a 12 hour drive, so we're leaving bright and shiny Thursday morning.

Considering heading down from the GVRD (Port Moody, specifically). I have a truck with space for four more (including the bitch seat). I don't have a room there and I don't think I could afford it, really. Is anybody willing to trade some floorspace / extra bed  for a few rides?

We should do a Canadian group dinner or something Thursday night. Or karaoke, there was a thread toying with the idea of doing it Thursday night, it would be fun. We could all get together and say "eh" and "a boot" and talk about hockey and beavers.

That reminds me.. does anyone know where to get those Canadian flag car flags? I have a Vancouver Canucks one but want a Canada one.

PS: I think I have a room, but I still have room in my truck for four from the GVRD. Any interest?

I would try a dollar store or Canadian Tire for the car flags. Small Lady, I like the taping of a Canadian Flag to the hotel room door.

The last American road trip I took, we got stickers for the car at Canadian Tire. Worked very well. (Mid Nevada a MiniVan from Saskatchewan blew by to pull in front of us, where the kids had stuck a hand-made I LOVE CANADA sign to the rear window).

The actual flags probably are not so good for long periods of high speed driving. I know when I had my Calgary Flames ones on I'd take them off for highway driving.

If you do have a dinner, I'm going to ask that you consider that not every Canadian PAX-goer will be there. It looks like my group is going down Friday morning. Bummer.

Thanks.. went by Canadian Tire a few days ago and picked up a window sign, a smaller flag which i'll tape on my rear window, and a $2 antenna flag!

Yeah sounds like that'd be interesting, just when/where? Double tree lobby around 7pm?

And I was already gonna do the flag thing last year, only forgot my flag....now I've got two, so whatever, if anyones at the red lion they'll see hopefully.

Maybe next year I will be finally going to PAX as a 20 year old guy.

Any ideas for a Canadian meetup during PAX/after hours, since it seems quite a few of us are arriving on the friday, and no Canadian should be left out.
