Finally got around to taking some photos. I have demolished my living room for the sake of at least a week of pure Forza action. I realize now that I probably should have taken some pictures with the TV in them...but whatever...its a 61" DLP. I found a temporary solution for my pedal slipping problem using some old paintings.
I'm finding it surprisingly fun to use left bumper for clutch when shifting with the controller.

I have the LCE and while having the extra cars is nice I'm not sure they're worth the extra £10 or so it costs. Mostly I just couldn't bear to have those cars sat in the menu with that padlock over them. If you're going to make use of the memory stick it probably works out as a much better deal but, to be honest, I think the LCE needed an art book or something to make it really worthwhile.
Still, perhaps this VIP thing will pay off more in the future.

There is no way in hell I'd be able to walk into that room and not immediately fall asleep. That room looks way too comfortable.
So I showed up at Gamestop two minutes before they opened, picked up my LE (after waiting for another dude who was there longer to pick up some other game), and was off to work within like five minutes. I guess I should be glad it'll be a busy day at work because I need every distraction I can get from my I Am Not Playing This Game I Just Bought status.
Ugh, called to see if they got my LCE in this shipment or if I have to wait until the next shipment thursday (or call around to other stores). Guy says "yeah we got a shipment in this morning before we opened, I haven't opened the boxes yet though so I don't know whether there were any extra copies of Forza 3 LCE." It's NOON. They open at NINE.
I ordered my LCE yesterday, its out for delivery now - that's assuming the UPS guy can get passed all the construction on my street.

Got my LCE. Time to fire this bitch up.
Also, I probably won't be getting into the multiplayer for a few days. Once I get a decent amount of time into the career mode, then by all means feel free to send me an invite so I can whoop your asses.
Am I the only one who tried to run the install disk before the play disk? Old habits die hard.
Also: I am in desperate need of a bigger hard drive. This is just getting silly now. My 20gig is so stuffed full I'm having to delete live arcade games to fit both Forza discs on. :-\
Also I'm hoping this game will help cull my current problem:Wanting to buy a new car.
Who needs a new car when you can drive fancy expensive shit virtually right?

oh perfect, i was going to ask if you had to run the install disc first, i guess not!
Does installing the game seem to have any effect on load times?
Well, I haven't played it from the disc to compare, but it still loads for a good bit. Nothing crazy, but a little longish compared to most other racing games.
Love the menus, narrator and music so far. Game has some awesome music.

I absolutely love the menus and all, but I really wish you could turn the narrator off. He's all well and good when you're starting but I don't need him to read out that my current car isn't competitive or eligible for a certain race, only letting us press the button after he's done talking. I hope this is a small thing they can patch out as even though it's like a 2 second wait it's something that could so easily be avoided.
So the livery editor is as addictive as ever. I spent quite a lot of time making an Orange amps logo which I'm rather proud of. It is made of 108 primitive vinyls. Unfortunately, the photo exportor doesn't seem to be online yet so all I have is crappy phone pics of my handiwork. I just it on any old car in my garage for now, I'll be making a full Orange amp themed car at some point.
I also made this nerd-tastic logo, which was significantly more simple. Feel free to download either logo (though I put a nominal price on the orange one because it took me so long). Both are on my storefront now.

If it's anything like the MS wheel on PGR3, it's terrible.

*Bear.
edit: that's a pretty nice set up Cake, though, i can't imagine that chair being the best for this game.
I've had it since saturday :P

17 minutes!!!
those who have the special edition, is it worth it? is there another way to get VIP status?
I was going to say - that dog is massive. He pretty much owns that couch :P
Got this game tape (in LCE form) at the midnights. I can think of few descriptions that don't involve drool or excessive profanity.

That's what I'm banking on. Still, the packaging is pretty spiffy.

Despite Turn 10's warning that it was really hard to roll a car over.. it looks like it doesn't take much at all.
installing everything now

Now I want a dog and a fancy house.
Great.

Seems pretty realistic to me - hittting one of those high curbs in nurburgring when at maximum side load

Anyone remember the flying cars in Vegas? Those were the days.

Awesome game thus far, what a painful 4 months since the announcement at E3 - but JOB WELL DONE!
