Police are especially concerned because the house is located across the street from a bus stop for school children. So on Wednesday, officers canvassed the neighborhood with fliers, asking anyone who may have been subject to an exposure to come forward.

The department spokesperson says in a rare move, they're releasing more information about the case.

"Because this was being spun into a national story, and the idea you can't be naked in your own house-- we wanted to come forward and say in this case our officers believed there was probable cause the law had been violated," said Jennings.

They all but accused him of being a pedophile. This is ridiculous because of some inane wife and the newest curse word in the English langauge, children.

Well, to be fair, for the charge to stick they have to prove intent. If he's done this on multiple occasions then that's pretty strong circumstantial evidence that this wasn't accidental. So they kind of have to canvas the neighborhood to get that information. And, it's not like this was a big secret--I don't know about where you live, but if some mom walked by a naked guy in my neighborhood the entire county would know about it by noon through the listservs.

If he is some kind of sex pervert who enjoys waving his penis at passing children, why would he do it with the mother walking next to the kid? Did he make eye contact with the mother or have an erection because it sounds like he didn't even know they were there.

True, but the way they are doing it paints public shame all across his forehead.

Hey, it's not like the police can quietly look into the children who frequent that bus stop then ask them privately these questions. I mean, why should they care about protecting the person's reputation or the town's?

The way they are doing it screams children beware and practically forces the man out of town. Not to mention it now gives stink to that house and people will fear unnecessarily about that bus stop. It's a ridiculous way to handle the investigation; therefore, I suspect they are doing it for malicious reasons.

I remember when I first heard this story, my first reaction was, wtf was that bitch doing in his yard at 530 in the morning?

But then I got to thinking, it's not about walking around in your house naked, but it's walking around your house naked with the blinds open for people to see you. I don't doubt this woman saw this guy naked. Regardless if he intentionally meant to flash his junk or not he committed indecent exposure.

Now if I was the investigating officer on this one, I would not make a physical arrest. I'd get all my statements, type up my report and send it to the city or county prosecutor and let them decide if they wanted to bring it to court.

That is quite blatantly not true.

This is hilarious for me because my school is about a block away from the very site of this incident. So yeah.

You know what? If we killed all the children in the world, we wouldn't have to be afraid of pedophiles anymore.

Not good enough. People would still THINK about flashing children, even if there are no children to flash. Clearly the solution is global suicide.

But what about the animals? Like the monkeys, all furiously masturbating in front of anyone who watches. The monkey children need to be protected, too.

I propose the wiping out of all forms of animal life on the planet.

We must be sure of these things.

Well you better make sure those asses are covered up to the acceptable standards of decency citizen. You don't want us to send some mothers with small children your way now, do you?

I was at the National Zoo last year, and the baby elephant was masturbating in the water with a giant rubber ball. It was the greatest thing ever to see that, and then turn 90 degrees and just watch the humanity watch the elephant jerk itself off.

This is why zoos are great.

And the prosecuting cop happens to be an ivory dealer. Nope. No conflict of interests here, citizen.

Anyways, a guy who's got lots of ivory is less likely to hurt the goddamned tewwowist pervert than a guy whose ivory supplies are low.

I live in Richmond, Virginia and I have never seen a hobo arrested for masturbating publicly or pissing or whatever.

Also, Fairfax is a shitty place, I don't even like driving through it

Lived there for years (Fairfax City and then Fair Lakes). Hated it like a lot.

    That's not entirely true.

If they're hot, they are never pedophiles.

Also, most of the publicized teacher cases involve ephebophilia, not pedophilia. One's attraction to prepubescent minors, the other is attraction to sexually developed minors.

That's not entirely fair a fair question because it lays blame solely at the police, when a woman doing this exact thing never would have gotten reported in the first place.
