good media players for Windows?

I don't really like Windows Media Player nor Itunes.

I have winamp, but is acting funny lately and crashing with .avi files.

Any other free options?

    I typically use CCCP, which is Media Player Classic with a bunch of added codecs. My brother has complained about oddly-placed subtitles in VLC before, but it's good too.
