If it makes you feel better Prox having a girlfriend would probably mean you wouldn't be as good at drawing
My Amazing Professor apparently had a wife once, and had a daughter with her.......
...apparently years ago, she said something to the effect of "it's either the art, or me" to him.....and I guess he chose the art.
I'm not attracted to non-artists because of my fear of not being taken seriously or understood in a relationship. But then again no one is attracted to me so I haven't really had to confront that fear.
Fug has a good point though. One of the main reasons I tried so hard to improve my artwork was to attract the attention of certain people.
That not attracted to artists thing is totally true for me, Prox, but for different reasons. It's odd how someone being a better artist than myself makes them like a thousand times more attractive.
For me, I just wanna find an art lady who doesn't have to be better or worse of an artist, but just has that drive to create. Has a deep mind that I can dive into, and can bounce off story ideas and such and such.
I had a GF for one month, and everything I asked her was just replied with an "I dunno."
And yesh, every artist needs that alone time to art, but its not like they can't sit next to you and draw what they have going, and I do the same.
For one, me and mah art buddeh dude, we sit down next to each other on bar stools and such drawing. We will look over at what we are drawingand say "awesome", and critique as well add stuff to our individual drawings.
Relationships are a collaborative effort, it takes a common goal. Like collabs with art.
ok tam, what brushes you use to color stuff in? AND i kinda feel that the dudes moustache is twisted on the other side, doesnt make sense that we can see the tip of it when the side closest to us is covered up by his face. i think...
yeah i see that now that it's not 3 in the morning, thanks guys fixin
i've never taken drawing classes and have so far kind of made up things as i go, it shows and i'm learning
just in case the image host isn't lying, tinypic seems to like to mess with the colours when I use this particular palette (for these characters, I guess). the colours are now way MS-paint-default and blinding
It's a fun doodle and not meant to be proportionately correct :L The bottoms of her feet are so visible because they were exaggerated to show her leaning back happily - and she wears a long shirt (:
but maybe it was too much and it just looks wrong
I would call him a ginger pirate but he looks too classy to pillage ports and overtake ships

I'm with a girl who's a psychology major, been together for 2+ years and she understands the workload and hours associated with being an artist.
PS: probably better chat thread fodder, sorry
Love how every one of your cartoons has such personality.
