I love that shotguns are better in this game, and that you can silence them. I loved using shotguns in COD 4 but I would die a lot.

I think Commando is my favorite perk. I love taking shortcuts to drop behind a group of enemies and getting all stabby.

I'm waiting until I get some different shotguns before I try to specialise in them, but until then I have to say, the PP2000 is pretty reliable so far. Although, choppers seem to be far more resistant to normal bullets then I remember, so I should probably have a launcher at the ready.

Shoot an AT-4 at a heli, then dump about 50 rounds of any LMG into the heli and it'll drop.

I didn't use LMGs that much in COD4, but I did love how effective they were at taking down choppers.

They're alright now. The TAR-21 is officially the beastliest weapon I've found so far.

I love when the Game-Winning Kill screen comes up, and it's me with an AA12 and the guy that just got filled with 50 pounds of lead starts cussing me out.

The fact that in the lobby you can just go:

Select person you want to mute > press A, etc > select mute

In the blink of an eye is miles better than having to wait for their gamercard to pop up and selecting mute from there, then exiting and repeating the process.

That being said, I still want my Xbox Live Parties.

So I was thinking about why Valve registration is required for every copy of MW2. I have a theory... not sure if it has been confirmed or discussed about before:

By requiring everyone to use Steam to play MW2, this opens it up for IW/Activision to have more control over the content of the PC version. They could more easily charge for map packs, especially with the elimination of dedicated servers. So rather than the MW1 scheme of "charge Xbox and PS3 users, but give it to PC users a few months later for free" it would be "everyone pays us lawls"

God Damn. After fixing the trophies for a short while, they seem to have broke again. Collected 5 stars on Spec Ops, and didn't get the trophy for 4 stars. This shit is really pissing me off, since trophies aren't retroactive. Don't see any easy way to get it in the future. I'm not a trophy whore or anything, but i just find it extremely annoying it isn't behaving as it should.

On a positive note, this game is a shit load of fun.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to build a "Stabby" class.

Marathon seems to be mandatory, as does Cold Blooded.

But for the third perk, should I go Scrambler or Commando? Commando's the obvious choice, but then, I know that I turn into a gibbering idiot whenever someone scrambles MY radar. It's worked pretty well so far.

But Scrambler does alert people to your presence. I think it probably works better on clusterfuck stairway maps like Favela.

Well, the entire idea of a run-around-stabbing-people class really only works on maps like that anyway, huh.

Just finished the campaign, short but sweet. Though something must be said about "No Russian".

I know you can skip it, but I still can't believe they put it in. IW could have achieved the same plot development with something far less over the top. And as far as artistic expression goes, I don't see much artistry. The plot was more benine than a Michael Bay movie (and had tons of MB fanfare for those who have seen his movies, especially The Rock), and if they wanted to get us to "think" through showing an airport massacre, they went about doing it the wrong way. It was the most sickening display of games potential to desensitize people I've seen yet, and I've heard people all over excusing it because it's "just a game" or the artist arguement. You can excuse anything through artistry, because of it's subjective nature, but the truth is that the bar continues to keep getting raised, and young people will play this game and games to come. 10 years from now we'll see the consequences of stuff like this, if we haven't already.

Lag's nonexistant. Graphics are amazing. AA-12 is hilarious.

But really; what balance is there? Making everything kill you in 2 shots is NOT balance. Everything being overpowered does not = balance, and it seriously pisses me off that the M4 is terrible compared to everything else because it DOESN'T kill in 2 shots.

    The M4 is amazing. l2play
