So beavo what disgusting backwards planet are you from where you read from right to left
i assume everytime i see yours that the left one is the old one and the right one is the new one
man, its weird, man
i...was sort of hoping the quality change would make it pretty obvious
though countless people have told me they like the dragon from 01 better
i think they just don't know what the fuck makes a drawing good...like construction and composition but it's damn depressing as fuck
this challenge has depressed me is basically what i'm saying.
when people tell you you were better back when you think you were awful, it's a huge shot in the face.
See this is a worrying trend at writers' workshops and finding out that it applies to art is equally disturbing
Anyway just dropping by to say how awesome this challenge thread is. Just got through it and it brings hope to everyone who's trying to improve their artzing abilities; and obviously it's pretty easy on the eyes too...
a lot of people have contributed
the ones that stay open forever usually don't have very many contributers, so they keep them open to get more participation
ok guys, behold my silly animus from when i was 14, in 2001. i used to be so good about dating all my work haha
and here's the redrawn one. i realized after i had lined it that i made the same mistake of sword scabbard being on the same size as the sword hand, so just pretend she is ambidextrous, and swapped the sword from her other hand
haha i would hope there was at least some difference, it is from what, 8 years ago? i remember being so happy with that huge eyed thing when i drew it. no forehead or eyebrows? why, that didn't matter at all!
I wish I had done this, but too many other art projects are killing me. It has been a super fun thread to lurk around though! This is one of those challenges that would be worth making a commonplace thread. high fives all around.

i didn't really finish because i could've gone on forever, but whatever

Also crazy difference on yours too Dee, proportion wise it's a huge leap.

I'm going to try to color it up this week.
Also Captain N was a fashion trailblazer and his wardrobe should never be questioned.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE GOING TO VOTE ON THIS OR NOT?
Okay that should be worth an extra week.
I'm just sayin'
(2006 ... I think).
... doodle out.
(probably not though)
Mully, that is most excellent. I love the translucency of the new mouse ears
I'm counting on AT LEAST another week.

Here's mine. The first thing I ever posted at the AC, done in illustrator, and the new one PS with my tablet.
Also here's two old pencil sketches from 04 and 07, the new one is also pencil, but with some micron outlines.
Hey wow I still suck at hands! At least I've learned not to draw on lined paper...
