    Wow Legg, that's suddenly leapt from pretty decent to fantastic!

    EDIT: The ship still doesn't look entirely right, however. It's still a bit blocky, and I think it needs some light being thrown on it by the lightning bolt next to it.

    few minor tweeks i might work on the deck of the ship, give it a bit more definition tomorrow if i have time

    you blew the contrast out too hard with your "minor tweaks" there. completely lost the atmospheric feel.

    How does any observation help anyone? It's an observation. I think it's interesting that some people show really extreme progress, some people show that they've always been pretty talented, and some people might be learning the lesson that they're running into similar problems they used to have.

    But more errors in a newer drawing is weird. Perhaps it's more polite to ignore that fact though? This thread isn't really for critiquing, so I wasn't going to point out each one and why I would say that.

    Also, I should point out that you may just dislike someones new style compared to their old style. I see a lot of that in here - a complete turn around on style / approach.

    Regardless, yeah, not a very useful thing to say. You need to use the "think or post?" filter a bit more, seems like. I think a lot of things that I don't post. I assure you the forum is the better for it.

    I voted for DMAC's. that shit is tight as all get out, and it's weird seeing the difference in his older piece in terms of coloring and lineweight.

    Would have probably voted for leg if he hadn't have made that last update to it.

    i too voted mully, it was a tough choice though. So many improvements, I just thought mullster's was the largest/most noticeable.

    Manon I see your issue with the two back to back. I did push the contrast to to try to add more depth, distinguish the background to the foreground but yeahh to far.. I see it now. I have to say Bacon was a big help to my drawing. The drawings of mine are only about 12 months apart which makes me feel proud looking at them back to back but I still have along way to go.     you deserve some major pats on the back/bum area for the hard work you've dumped into this year

    Thanks Beav, thanks for the votes guys. It makes me feel kinda mushy knowing that I have imrpoved allot over the last year. I put in a fair amount of effort and I just got an awesome job for TV. Found out today. Time to relocate :D
