Recommend On: Graphics Card for Fallout 3

I've done a pretty good search and come up with very little. I need to upgrade my Graphics Card with something that will run Fallout 3 high settings. I would prefer to spend less than $100 (Not impossible due to the time of year?) but don't mind going a little higher.

Amazon has a great deal on a XFX HD4350 PCI-E 2.0, but I can't find anything saying that it would suit my needs. The GEForce 8800 is proving to be expensive, despite it's age.

Anyone?

    I'd say spend the little bit extra and get at least a 4850, which should be about $100 anyway. But yeah, make sure that your computer can actually use a PCI-e card

    Aspire M5641
    4GB Ram
    64 Bit OS Vista
    2 Core Processors
    500 GB HD
    Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20 GHZ

    Currently running on an GEForce 7100 / nForce 630i

    Not bad for $300, new. But not great for gaming, which I am new to PC gaming. Seriously, last PC game I seriously played was Doom 1 & 2 back in the '90s.

    I'm to much under the tryptophan to bother looking up any benchmarks but your basic options are probably a 4770 for a bit over $100 or a 4670 for cheaper.

    It seems that ATI is ramping down the 4850 which used to be the go to cheap video card. There are only 4 cards on newegg and none are cheaper than a 4770.

    Yeah, LLC's right. The best deals were the Radeon 4850's for the $80-$110 range, but now they only seem to sell the 4850's for $120 on newegg.

    Might as well go for a Radeon 4770 for ~$110.

    Make sure you have an available PCIE slot though.

    HA! Bestbuy had a few 4850's for $69.99! Thanks Slash and LLC; soon I shall enjoy a beautiful version of modded fallout 3.

    Glad I double checked. Indeed I have an extra PCI slot, but the PSU has to go. Could have sworn it was a 400 watt, turns out it's 300, and no extra cables.

    I wonder if that was in my old PC? Hmmm.... >>

    I'm running Fallout 3 on an Asus HD4850 512MB DDR3 on very high settings. It runs without so much as a hiccup.
