While Thor was a bit of a filler issue, Loki's scene and then the last pages more than made up for it. Here, Balder finally tells Doom how it is, and Doom shows Balder what he's been working on in his lab!
I posted this in the Blackest Night thread, but I definitely think my moment of the week was Nicola Scott's artwork in Blackest Night: Wonder Woman. It was fantastic.
Oh, and What If? Secret Invasion was awesome, too. Well, at least the first story. The second one was stupid. Anyways, not only was the story ripe with awesome, but it pretty much illustrates my theory that in every What If?, Peter's life is either awesome, or irreparably destroyed. Hey, sometimes both!
If anyone read the X-Men Secret Invasion mini, you'll remember that Beast created a Legacy virus strain that would kill the Skrulls.
Well, Logan painstakingly got a sample to Wakanda, the last bastion of Humanity (after the X-Men were killed). The heroes want to make sure that a strain is developed that won't kill the Skrull convertees (The converting allows humans to gain the Skrull's shapeshifting abilities and a longer lifespan). It's also mentioned that one of the reasons the Skrulls won was Reed's death during Captain Marvel's assault on the Skrull Armada. He blew him up, whoops!
Anyways, Veranke appeals to the UN for permission to invade after Marvel Boy blows up a Skrull Temple, and is finally granted it, though her consort Norman Osborn isn't anywhere to be found after receiving a phone call. The plot thickens.
Take note of the second panel. Aunt May, why are you wearing short shorts? Gross.
Edit: Oh, yeah. Then Bucky kills Norman and feels bad about it because he failed Steve's legacy. The end!

Because:
She was converted at the beginning of the story and god a hot new body. Girl want's to show off the new goods!
Well I know that. She's still gross! Have some modesty.
And, also interesting to note,
I thought May's hair was blonde? I remember a picture of May and Peter's mom when they were all, uh, hot. Wonder if it was just forgotten, or May was screwin' around with her new powers!

May was the redhead in that picture. Anyway, that story isn't canon because it was terrible.
How often do writers take pot-shots like that in their work? It seems a little unprofessional to me. I mean sure, Flash Rebirth isn't exactly amazing, but it seems tacky for a Marvel writer to be taking shots at a DC writer like that.
Bendis has the same thing for every event. I think this is the first for a DC one though. But he has the same crazy person come in the cop station adn cops act the same way each time.

There was someone screaming about Blackest Night at one point, I believe. Back before the relaunch.
It was a scene. I felt bad about the What If? thing because even though that was only a portion it was pretty much the whole meat and bones of the story, but the there where plenty of other things going on in Thor.

Ugh really?
What terrible planning.

Someone should shop that in.

Fantastic
I laughed.
And Lafuente's art is rough there.

So, does Ms Marvel just not have a spine in the What If? books, or is her ass really HUGE...

Glad I didn't read it, then. I hate it when that happens. :x
I actually laughed pretty hard at that. Thank you.
Pretty sure Servo said half an issue is the limit.
