tldr - So we got kicked out of Georgia.
A few years back I went through a brief period where I developed an avid interest in snorkeling. For a month and a half I would head down to this one beach for a swim with my snorkel, and so I developed a pretty good mental map of where all the features were and everything.
So, one time I ask a friend if he'd like to come along. He admits he isn't too crazy about the idea, but reluctantly agrees to come anyway.
We'd been swimming around for about half an hour, and my friend had really started to warm to the snorkeling, but he was still kind of wary about going in to the deeper water. At about this point we get to a trough, which must of been at least five meters deep. My friend doesn't want to go through it, but I know the only way around is a section of rocks where it gets so shallow you'd probably have to walk anyway.
A couple of minutes of swimming through the trench later, I spy some interesting fish down near the bottom. I stick my head out of the water and call out to my buddy over in the shallows, but before I can even finish my sentence he rises out of the water with a sound that can only be described as "WHHHOOOOMPHHH! GRKR!", his face transformed in to a combination of a face-hugger from aliens and a large tumor. For a few hilarious seconds he's just sort of flailing around before he finally tears his goggles off and the octopus that had wrapped itself around his head with it, then tore towards the shoreline.
He confidently declared later (with all the colour drained from his face) that he was never going snorkeling again.
(Wow, that story took a lot longer than it should have. Anyways, true or false?)
Eh... gonna go with false. I don't think Octopuses attack random people.

It is actually supposed to be Octopuses, the suffix pi would only be correct if the word was of latin root, but it's Greek (okto - eight, pous - foot), but octopi is an accepted misuse.
