Every couple weeks my right armpit feels sore for a few days, I always chalked it up to carrying a heavy bag on my right shoulder but I haven't these past few days since I'm on winter break. My next thought was that maybe the lymph node was swollen and, sure enough, there definitely is a lump compared to my left armpit. Since this appears to be a chronic, although not constant, condition should I make an appointment with a primary care physician?
I'm not freaking out, but I appreciate the advice. There are no other symptom, my cause for concern was that it seems to be chronic and only in my right armpit. I'll try and make an appointment to see a doctor next week.
Sounds a lot like what I had a few months ago, hydradenitis. It's just an infection in your sweat gland. If it's just a big red sore bump in your armpit, that's it. Like others have said GO SEE A DR. It's not dangerous and easily fixable with some antibiotics.

This doesn't sound to different than what I have dealt with before.
Going to the doctor never hurt though so go see the doctor.

Wouldn't that be more likely to cause itchiness or rashes?

And I too recommend going to a doctor.
