Help me find this game!

So it's another one of those threads.

I was recently reminded of this game that I played by looking at screenshots of Bonk's Adventure:

I remember the protagonist of this game had a huge forhead, similar to Bonk. I remember crazy enemies, and some power ups that shape shifted you into different (possibly alien) forms. I believe the game was for the Sega Genesis and/or the SNES. I just can't remember the name of the title!

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

    Nope, definitely not, although kid chameleon was a great game.

    I think most of the powerups you received turned your character a kind of purplish color. Or maybe you just started out purple, one of the two.

    Did you run around with a baseball bat and a certain powerup turned you into a flying alien thing?

    Cause I totally remember that game but have no idea what it was called.

    Only one that's jumping to my mind is Keith Courage in Alpha Zones but that doesn't sound like it

    also that baseball bat wielding description sounds familiar, so bluedot for eventual name on that as well

    Hmmm none of these fit the bill. I think the second stage was underwater, or was on a beach or something if that helps. I might be going crazy.
