every time i look at this thread, i want to find a way to have my desk/computer/drafting table all together and set up a nook for myself

there is not really any room for me to do that here, unfortunately.

You'll have to pack Bombs away in a box and put him in the hall closet.

My college dorm comes standard with that chair! (the wood one in front of the desk)

Well, assuming it has a strange angled back leg which lets the chair lean backwards.

I finally took a few snaps of my little nest.

I have the attic room as my studio, so it's an odd, long shape but I've made the best as I can with the space available:

    aoc_studio1.jpg
    aoc_studio2.jpg

    Some closer-uppers:

    aoc_studio3.jpg
I don't know how long these desks will stay clean and white...

    aoc_studio4.jpg
My Superteam, always alert to the call to action...

    aoc_studio5.jpg
    Shelf of weird things...

    aoc_studio6.jpg
Everyone needs a ship in a bottle and a brass fly...

Still have lots of junk in boxes to sort through, plus lots more books. The other side of the room has my plan chest, cardboard tubes and storage boxes. Still to go up on the walls: some more shelves and framed prints (everything got taken down when I repainted).

It's actually a 1977 Marshall JMP. It's older than I am and it sounds golden!

I completely love books and it was a struggle to bring myself to throw/give away the few things I did dispose of as I was sorting through my clutter.

Grenn: your workspace is very similar to mine, down to the attic room and the ikea filing cabinet. Have you been looking in my window?

Hey cake, how do you have all your prints mounted? Any suggestions? I want to mount all my prints/posters again but don't want to ruin them when inevitably removing them when I have to move.

I am using these. They are great. Though on thinner paper you can sort of see where they are stuck to the wall. Oh right, and just make sure you attach the poster side to the poster and the wall side to the wall...otherwise when you try to remove them from your poster they WILL rip it. The wall adhesive is much stronger. But the ones I have had to remove so far that were put on correctly, have been fine.

Sweet, thanks. I had just double sided foam ones which were hit and miss when removing them. I'll give those a try!

No problem. When removing them if they give you any trouble probably best to just break out the hairdryer and heat up the adhesive. But I haven't had any trouble with these (except one that I put on wrong).

god, I haven't managed to have a clear workspace in which I can be productive in years. It feels like I've been confined to one room for so long... Last time I tried to oil paint, I wound up making my very pregnant mother violently sick (and I felt like the biggest jackass for that :( ). I need to move out just so I can art again like I used to... Sure I can work a bit in photoshop or some other art software, but it's just not the same, y'know?

At the very least, maybe I ought to thin out my belongings a little for the sake of workspace... Or get a loft bed with a desk.

Yes! Well. I got a bit. Excited. It's my first place so I'm pretty jazzed, theres actually 3 more annotated pictures but they dont contain a tablet SO. I want to bring my easel and get it set up in the living room though, that would be nice.

I love the classic Trek poster - DeForest Kelley was the best doc.

I've always maintained that I need my workspace and sleeping space seperate - even when I still worked out of my bedroom, I did my best to create some kind of natural divide.

I like the gutsiness of having your workspace seemingly attached to your bed though!

I got an Inglourious Basterds poster and a signed James Jean print framed above TOS. Seriously, I would do things to DeForest Kelly. Yeah, I dunno, I've always had my laptop/tablet next to my bed. I actually had a studio room for a while but it sort of just wasn't the same. The room actually came with a table and chair but I've chucked the chair and am using the table as a tv/ps3 stand. I guess I like being super comfy, even if it means my back's screwed up from hunching over.

Edit: I just looked down and remembered I'm wearing this shirt.
