I guess. We just have to solve this impossibly long equation.

And stop this riot in Boise

Don't forget secret ballots and outside groups being able to lobby voters.

herbstreit is #1 on my shitlist

first words out of his mouth in the leading moments of the play where gilbert fumbled it on the sack was "alabama has yet to get a sack this game" and i saw the guy moving up on the outside of the line and i was like fuck.

    sure enough.

ingram played a hell of a game against probably the best run defense in college football. texas played badass given the circumstances.

gilbert is gonna have fucking ice in his veins when hes out there next year

As soon as he said that, I said out loud "Well, he just jinxed Texas."

    I am psychic.

They have devoted their life to hating the Longhorns. It's kind of awesome, in a way.

I posted this over in the D&D forums, but it's so freaking good that I'm going to post it here too.

    Awesome article

PASADENA, Calif. – Colt McCoy lined up about 7 yards from his dad, Brad. This was inside the Texas locker room underneath the Rose Bowl bleachers, the Longhorns quarterback missing the biggest game of his career, about to attempt the most important throw of his life.

Colt had the ball and was going to pass it to his dad as a slew of doctors and trainers watched closely. How many times had these two thrown a football back and forth, from their yard in little Tuscola, Texas, to the practice fields of Jim Ned High School, where the dad was the coach and the son was the star?

“Millions,” Colt said. “Millions of times." ...

So Colt gripped the ball, stared at his dad and thought, “It’s just a simple throw.” He threw. The ball went soft and wide. Everyone grimaced. “Give it to me again,” Colt demanded. Brad got the ball and gave it back to his son. The next throw was the same, bouncing harmlessly away. “Give it to me again,” Colt said, again. Brad did.

It was the same. It was over. Colt couldn’t throw it 7 yards to his own father. “My arm was dead,” he said. The dad hugged his son. The son broke down and cried.

Yeah I can't make bonfire jokes without feeling bad.

But I can say that the Corps and the yell leaders are without a doubt the gayest two institutions ever.

Also: You're at Blinn, people, not A&M, quit acting like a fucking dipshit.

ROLL TIDE ROLL TIDE! That was a crazy game. It went by really fast. -or at least to me. Did anyone else feel like we were watching their freshman quarterback become a man before our very eyes as the game progressed? Anyways, I am proud of our guys. Both teams really fought the whole time.

I'm disappointed(half because of the loss, half because Colt couldn't be there), but it made for a very engaging game.

Reports about the injury are that the jolt from the hit caused a sprain which left him with no strength in the arm but he wasn't feeling pain. Kind of a nerve shock overload. He tried tossing the football in the locker room after an X-Ray to his dad and couldn't throw it a few yards.

He should be fine after the swelling goes down. It was probably a nerve pinch. Sucks it happens in the big game, but football is a tough sport.

If you're going to get injured, that's the kind of injury you want.

At least it wasn't a Bradford-esque shoulder decimation requiring surgery and months of recovery time.

SO! It's all but absolutely confirmed that Pete Carroll has left USC to become the head coach of the Seattle (eww!) Seahawks! I was joking around that he would leave when he was all over ESPN/ABC last night, but I had no idea a deal was practically in place already. Trojan Nation is going nuts here.

The thing about the Pete Carroll rumor that makes sense is the indication that the Reggie Bush scandal is coming to a head and USC may face some pretty harsh penalties soon.

So he's getting out while the going is good.
