I was watching an episode of the old Sliders TV series when I was in the theater at that time, I think it was towards the end of the Bang the Machine timeslot.

The Gamers was, frankly, absolutly terrible.

Well, at least the first 20 minutes were. I - like many - walked out.

Oh man, they played The Gamers and I missed it? Damn.

And I can't believe you didn't watch the whole thing. It's hilarious. You'll be ashamed you're laughing at it, but you'll laugh.

How come they didn't show Bang the Machine? (Or did they?)

Has anyone seen it? If so, please comment.

They didn't show it because at the last minute, the people who made it(or are distributing it) decided that people could easily bootleg the movie there, so they pulled it from PAX. Or so I've heard.

Uber-LAME. How can they expect to make money from a film that they won't let anybody see? Piracy often leads to legitamate purchases. If I watched the first 30 minutes of a bootleg copy and it turned out to be great, I'd go buy the retail version...

Especially given the fact that so many people bought rvb dvds at PAX.
At least, 90% of the people I knew did.

I was looking forward to that showing, as my love for Street Fighter II literally changed my life, as I changed my undergraduate major so I could play more. I did some research on BtM, and was impressed that PAX had managed to get it because:

    1) They haven't screened the movie since 2002.
    2) They don't have it on DVD or VHS
    3) It's never appeared on television

I guess they are afraid someone might actually see their movie.
    Mind-boggling indeed.

Quote Gabe "How are they going to get people to see their movie if they don't show it?"
