The only sharks we really have up here are dogfish which are ony about a foot long and sixgill sharks which are quite large but spend most of their time in deeper waters feeding on invertebrates.
I'm sure he did see sea creatures, just not ones that typically live on the bottom of the ocean. Sea lions, orcas, and the occasional dolphin would be more the type of thing you'd see boating in Puget Sound.

just all "FUCK YOU SEAWEED BRAIN! I GOT A BOAT! YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME! TAKE THAT YOU GILL-HAVING NECKBREATHER!"
whoa I can get up to a 25' sailboat pre-rigged for around $4000.
Built in the 70's but boats hold up well.
I know what I'm buying after the wedding.
Not saying you shouldn't buy a boat but keep in mind that they are usually very maintenance intensive both in money and time so depending on a number of factors, the $4,000 may be just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. you also have to pay for moorage or dry storage, regular hull cleaning (much more often if you moor in salt instead of fresh water), you will be replacing equipment on a regular basis. Just advising you to do some more research on how much ownership will actually cost you in the long run.

My grandfather once traded his '43 Army Jeep for a 25' sailboat, which only needed a new mast and a paintjob. He kept it for a couple years, intending to refit it, but eventually traded it away for something else.

Oh I know. For instance it's $200 a month for a slip in Cap Sante Marina up at Anacortes, although if I buy a boat I'll have it moored somewhere closer.
I think I might just get something like this intitially for sailing around this part of the state and just keep crewing up with the Anacortes fleet until I'm ready to pick up something like this

Also I saw a couple of seals and a leaping salmon.
I lept into the water, grabbed the seal by his eye sockets, drug him to shore and clubbed him.
Just to fit a Canadian stereotype.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
good one
owning boats is pretty much like taking your hundred dollar bills and using them to light your other hundred dollar bills on fire
so is 40k
40k is like doing that with twenty dollar bills
when I get a boat
we can go out and play 40k on the boat
yeah, because miniatures aren't succeptible to breezes or unstable surfaces at ALL!
