I mean, I'm not saying anything. I'm just asking the question. Am I really the only person in the room who has ever wondered about Glenn Beck's sexual history with children? I mean, I'm not saying there is one - I'm just saying, maybe we ought to take a look.
Glenn Beck aired a 'documentary' on Fox titled, 'Live Free... or Die!' last Friday. Trailer is here:

Joking aside, the content was (perhaps as you might expect) something you'd only really expect to find in Neo Nazi historical revisionist propaganda (...which kind of made me wonder for a few moments whether he is a Neo Nazi & Holocaust Denier... but why give him that much credit? The man has no ideology - he's just another TV shock jock), which is to say that he mangled his facts so terribly and interviewed such incredulous sources that it was laughably enjoyable to watch kind of like a History Channel 'documentary' on woo woo crap like the Philadelphia Experiment or the Roswell Incident).
Anyone else watch it?

Pedophile has a meaning beyond "bad person". It's not a generic insult. We should be able to ask whether Glenn Beck likes to fuck children without upsetting the standards police. The only problem is that it would make us petty and manipulative.
Glenn Beck has not denied being a member of this forum either. If he is not a silly goose, why hasn't he come out and said it publicly?
I have a phone at my desk and I have emailed Glenn Beck my number. If he doesn't want people to know that he's a silly goose, all he has to do is call.
It's also being used precisely in the manner of a generic insult here, same as "neo-nazi" or "revisionist", both of which are legitimate terms that can be used to describe someone.
On topic, that national socialism is/was rooted to varying degrees in leftist ideology - especially before they actually got into power - isn't a remotely fresh or even controversial claim. You can read any academic book on the subject of their rise to power and the ideological background of certain intellectuals in the movement to get at the juicy stuff. What's stupid and not in any way endorsed by such works is simply saying/implying that the Nazi's more left-wing than right. Even at their, uh, most socialist when they were on the way up, the nazi's formed uneasy coalitions with traditional conservatives (with whom they were very close ideological bosom-buddies) and (classical) liberal democrats (the latter had basically given up trying to support the Weimar Republic), and would eventually jettison a signficant portion of their anti-business platform.
But really trying to get into the whole left/right aspects of Nazism requires too many caveats and clarifications about 'how x policy was populist/nationalist not socialist etc etc' unless you write a whole goddamn essay, which is why I hate writing about it on an internet forum. The point is that anyone using talking points like "Fascism is the logical extreme of modern liberalism" or "Corporate America was the midwife of National Socialism" deserves to have their right to vote revoked, as they're clearly incapable of critical analysis. So yes Beck/Goldberg are the silliest of geese.

Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann aren't even in the same ball park, but if you think you can create a thread about "the similarly dishonest and immoral tactics used by Keith Olbermann" (which you can't, because he doesn't), then have at it.
