I vote carbon nanotubes to be the vaporware technology of the century.
I know it's a little early in the century, just under 1/10th of the way through, but is there a single real world application of carbon nanotubes right now? All I ever hear is "Your pants: electric, your muscles: superhuman, your body: cancer free, your elevators: reaching outer space! How? NANOTUBES!" But then nothing ever happens and I am left wondering if they're an elaborate joke.
