Avatar won't change

If you look at my profile and put the URL for my avatar in a new tab/window/whatever, you'll see it doesn't match the avatar I have now.

Hey, I don't have a problem with the Great Freddie Mercury haunting me from heaven, but I think it's time to give him a rest.

    Just to eliminate the obvious possibilities, you're sure you've gone into the user panel > edit avatar, checked "Use an Uploaded Custom Avatar" and put in the URL of the new one, and clicked "Save Changes"?

    I did now... I was going to "edit your details" and changing it there. That's how I've always done it.

    Hmm, did you delete your old avatar before you uploaded it on the details page, like it says to do in the instructions there?

    There are actually two edit avatar boxes, you might have one switched but not the other.

    The first is here: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/profile.php?do=editprofile

    Scroll down to 'additional infomration' and you'll find it under 'avatar URL'

    The second is here: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/profile.php?do=editavatar

    Make sure the one of them is cleared, and the other is set to the avatar you want to use.

    Yeah, I did. I actually had no avatar URL in my profile for a few seconds. I mean, I changed it like I always had without problems, that's what stumped me.
