    It was a polite discussion.

yeah. As I wrote, I have every browser installed and up to date, when I run into problems with one
Opera hates my bank's site, Chrome hates my ebay account for some reason, firefox is the red-headed step child that gets no love at all.

If Opera won't load your bank's site properly, it's because Opera knows your bank is shit.

I really like Opera, but it just didn't work 100% so I had to switch back to firefox.

Things like Google Docs would get all funny and shit like that.

People who knock Facebook are silly. I've used it to reconnect with most of the people who ever meant anything to me in my life. It's a small number, but every one counts.

I wrote a latin poem to Natasha today:

    Tuus amor similis Tyrannosauro est
Me cum ferocibus dentibus eius superat

    Tuus amor similis Sinosauropteryke est
    Plumae eius meam animam calefacit

    Tuus amor similis Pluto est
Semper stella in via lactea cordis mei erit

Your love is like a Tyrannosaurus
It conquers me with it's ferocious teeth

Your love is like a Sinosauropteryx
    It's plumage warms my soul

    Your love is like Pluto
It will always be a planet in the milky way of my heart

A coworker who just got his first laptop/personal computer signed up for Facebook and reconnected with a friend he hasn't seen in 16 years. Now he's got Skype installed so he can catch up with her now that she's living in France.

    I dunno, which part?

[edit]If you're talking about Sinosauropteryke; I did take some creative license with that. pteryx is a greek stem (to the best of my knowledge) so I adapted it into a 3rd declension -ke ablative ending.

    Pretty much yeah

Specifically someone musing that versus a sufficiently defended target, you might as well launch your 10,000 ton battleship directly at the enemy rather than pussyfooting around exchanging cannon fire

So after seeing the comments on the article in the OP, I think I finally understand the market for the iPad.

Also, one of my favorite comments has to be one where the person thought they'd beaten the system by using Bing instead of Google, because the facebook login page was apparently still the first result there.

It's more like losing your keys, so resorting to reaching in through your doggy door in order to open the door to your house from the inside.

But it was never locked in the first place.
