1up guys on the stream just mentioned that GiantBomb was looking to play them. I want to see this.
by the looks of things 1up will lose. How can you have such a big gaming company and not have anyone who doesn't totally suck?
They obviously hadn't paid any attention whatsoever to any of the stuff Blizzard had previously released. In the TvT I was watching, they had no clue about destructable barriers or the watchtowers.
I think 'skorge' is more aggravating than 'zeelot'.
I keep refreshing to see if I'm in, like there's been some kind of mistake and it'll be sorted out soon. I suspect this will go on for at least a week.
apparently there are still very few people actually online in the beta. like only 400 people and according to giantbomb its press/pros/friends/family.
I have yet to hear of any average joe get in through the opt in.

Bleh, I totally won't get into this one. The only beta I got into was the Frozen Throne Beta and that's because an admin on another message board got me a key from GFraizer.

actually for frozen throne it wasn't that hard to get in, they gave out hundreds of thousands of keys.
Ok, for those of you lucky bastards who got in, how "done" does the game feel? Do you have any sense of balance? How is stability on b.net 2.0?
I guess what I'm digging for here in a round-about way is some sort of a feel for how long the beta will probably run before the game goes gold. If its already mostly done, it might be a fairly short beta and we might be looking at release as soon as April or May.

It felt really done at Blizzcon in August 2009, to me at least. (Multiplayer only, but thats what Beta is anyways).
I think the reason it slipped from 09 to 10 was New Battle.net
They need to shutup and start playing seriously. I would be pissed if I got teamed with them. I never did team games because you get stuck with people like them who just f-around or some shit.
You know; just watching 1up and Giant Bomb it's hard to get a feel for early game changes; but I honestly hope they did more to offer reasonable defenses against early game rushes.
Because the thing that gets me to stop playing an RTS super fast is when every single game turns into a rush.
Nothing about that is fun.
Nothing about playing a strategy game with deep tech trees and complex units in 2 minutes is fun.
You know; just watching 1up and Giant Bomb it's hard to get a feel for early game changes; but I honestly hope they did more to offer reasonable defenses against early game rushes.
Because the thing that gets me to stop playing an RTS super fast is when every single game turns into a rush.

This is why when playing with friends you put a 30 min - 1 hour 'no attack' time period at the start of each game. Gives everyone a chance to build, evolve, and explore before going ape shit and killing each other.
