    I'm pretty astounded that there are multiple people who have tooth crumbling dreams. Worse, Google confirms that it's not exactly out of the ordinary.

    I mean, like, what part of our respective psyches is common enough to associate tooth crumbling with... anything?

    It's a cultural holdover from earlier times when gum worms (Ancylostoma Gingvivis) were a serious problem.

    When I fist heard that I threw up in my mouth a little. Isn't Zemeckis involved? If so, my hopes aren't high because I never quite liked his style of 3d. Granted it worked fine for Beowulf but I don't need to see the pores on Ringo's face. I would much rather see a 2d animation remake, though I will admit a bias for 2d animation.

    re: Zemeckis - I don't really like how he uses motion-capture in stuff like Polar Express. It makes the characters look like stick figures.
