Well if it's any consolation Lemming the lack of controversy throughout the entire day has shaken my resolve in my vote against you. You would think there would have been at least some sort of second vote going, or people with their own ideas about who is the bug. It's very eerie to see every vote just be a confirmation of my vote against you.

    Highly suspicious.

I'm going to go with Aegis . He was forthright about the hole thing on day 1 , but has been laying pretty low every since. Not voting yesterday doesn't help that record. I understand that voting inactives is typically bad sport, but he was able to post. And considering the targets yesterday....it might be incriminating.

That plus LemmingHead voted King Mole and had kime vote against her. Even if they didn't expect it to go anywhere. They ran a risk if they were in cahoots.

*Scans the torn and bug ridden horizon, then spits*

No sir...no I don't like it one bit. Everything about this is wrong.

*turns and looks over then remaining soldiers*

You've all put in your bets with me...and that's fine but I may have steered you wrong....maybe not. But I find it a bit too damned convenient that every single one of you just jumped on the chance to out private Lemming. Now i'm not saying Lemming isn't a bug, but in the giant clusterfuck of this war it just seems a bit too smooth.

Now that being said I'm going to put aside my distrust of lemming for now and move to my second and tertiary targets.

    *scans the crowd then stops*

    What...the...hell...

*jumps down off the wall and runs over to a prone soldier*

BOY ARE YOU SLEEPING?! We've got bugs to kill and our own asses to save and ou've been sitting here the past 2 days dozing off like it's a bright day in spring. Aegis, either you're working for the bugs or you're just downright incompetant but I for one am not going to stand for it any longer!

    Day 5 – Rescue Arrives!

Huzzah! The rescues ship has arrived! Head to the main building, troopers!

The news isn’t terribly great for Squad SMRT and The Giga Drill Breakers, who both have members outside of the base and near closed gates.

The numbers of living members have decreased amazingly recently. But nobody ever said this mission had a high survival rate.

Several squads have been reduced to a handful of members. Hope they have some medpacks.

Like a fucking boss, The Totally Not Evil Soldiers Who Aren't Going To Shoot You In The Back At All, Seriously hefts a grenade at the tanker, severely injuring it. But the Tanker bug makes quick work of the closest concentration of squad members, severely injuring The Big Name Players

Turrets mostly stay inactive, which is unfortunate, as they would have been a great help, even if it meant a few squad member casualties. One turret does a great job of clearing out the Arachnid from the South East.

No new fliers appear this turn, which is good news in an otherwise crappy day

A new hole opened up inside the base’s walls!

Three Fliers are ready to attack
    No fliers are staging

    The Rescue ship has arrived!
It will leave after the 7th day is over. Anyone still alive and in the MAIN BUILDING will escape!

The tanker is at half health!

    Top 5 Kill Board:

    1. The Giga Drill Breakers 46
    2. Death Squad 35
    3. The Big Name Players 25
    4. The Others 20
    5. The Ghosts 16

    Kills this round: 27

    Casualties:
SlickShughes - DeWitt's Dolls – Infected Squad – Shot in the face by Alpha Squad
Egos - Death Squad – Regular Squad – Hunted down and gutted by the Infected Specialist
TheLawinator - The Ghosts – Alpha Squad – Taken down by the Infected Squads!
Aegis - allPha Squad – Takedown Team - Killed by THE BUGS

    Notes
You cannot shoot through building walls

You cannot shoot outside of the base if you are not at the wall of the base

You may open gates from the outside

The Tanker can step over the base walls

Well, to start if I get voted out I'm guessing the evils will get 2 more kills, plus me getting voted out. With the tanker on the way, that's a village loss right there, given there will be 2 goods and a bad left at that point.

So basically I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm not a bug. I've always been a man of my word, and I tell you now that I am a regular old villager. That means there's likely one bug left out of everyone else.

    Players left:

Lemminghead: I've been suspicious of all along
    Gumpy:
    Delph: Cute RP
Arasaki: Inactive and "I dunno where my guys even are, so whatever vote me out"
    Me: Definitely not a bug.
    Burnage:

Gumpy and Burnage I actually don't suspect at all. Even though Burnage is alive this late in the game :P They don't seem evil.

Lemming I have been suspicious of for a while, but given how people kept letting him get ahead in the vote and then change it last minute, I'm guessing he's confirmed. Which is cool, I guess. I can pick out specials almost as good as Law.

That leaves Delph and Arasaki. I would REALLY hate for Arasaki to win the game by being totally inactive, but I'm not sure how else he'd be allowed in here still if he wasn't one of the mafia. Arasaki is my best bet for an evil at this point.

Seriously guys, don't be silly gooses and lose this now.

Day 6 - Everyone Is Eaten Alive. Mafia Wins!

The bugs pour over the base, entering through unclosed gates, atop the backs of their brtheren, and through new holes in the ground.

Tankers push through the walls and scorch the sides of the rescue ship. Screams of the dying and the torn run across the desert in all directions.

The rescuse ship tries to take off, weighed down by the jaws of the Arachnid.

Tanker flames lick the engines and wings, melting them and bringing the ship down in the outpost.

Squad SMRT grins a little evil grin as they are routinely disemboweled.

    Mission accomplished, bugs!

    Casualties:

Lemminghead - The Big Name Players - Team Bravo - Hunted down and gutted by the Infected Specialist
Burnage - The Totally Not Evil Soldiers Who Aren't Going To Shoot You In The Back At All, Seriously - Regular Squad - Killed by the Infected Squads
Delphinidaes – The Giga Drill Breakers - Cyberactive Squad – Lost their last member to warrior rape.
Gumpy - The Others – Regular Squad – Lost their last squad member to a flier attack
Arasaki - Prettiest in Pink - Regular Squad - Eaten by THE BUGS

The village is now in a no-win game

    leftovers

"winner" - El Skid - Squad SMRT - Infected Specialist

What COULD have happened, in another universe where i can count votes correctly
Day 6 – the Infected are down! Now Escape!

But do their seeds bear fruit?

Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit

The squads that remained were battled and broken. They’re all down several squad members, and they slowly make their way over to the main building for rescue. The pilot if totally flipping his shit

Screaming “VALHALLAAAAA!!!” in sheer defiance, The Others’ last remaining, and lowest-ranked member managed to cut down 30 warriors before he had his head sliced off by a flier. What a fucking crazy ass hero

Keeping up his reputation as a goddamn boss, The Totally Not Evil Soldiers Who Aren't Going To Shoot You In The Back At All, Seriously hefts a heavy pack of explosives at the Tanker bug, destroying it and netting himself a fancy equivalent number of kills.

The Giga Drill Breakers amassed at the wall and opened the gate, defending all the sides they were able. Unfortunately, they simply didn’t have the firepower or the manpower to fight off the multitude bearing down on them and were devoured just as the gate opened. Unfortunate indeed

Squad SMRT was finally outed as the last remaining Infected Squad, and the infected specialist to boot! In a lucky turn, he was devoured by his own Bug friends before he got a chance to carry out any murder.

Only humans seem to be left alive! Celebrations were cut short when everyone realized they still needed to escape. And if things didn’t seem bad enough, TWO more tankers appear at opposite ends of the base.

No Fliers are ready to attack
    Three fliers are staging

The Rescue ship is still here!
It will leave after the 7th day is over. Anyone still alive and in the MAIN BUILDING will escape!

    The Tanker is down

    Two Tankers have appeared

    Top 5 Kill Board:

    1. The Giga Drill Breakers 52
    2. The Others 50
    3. Death Squad 35
    4. The Totally Not Evil Soldiers Who Aren't Going To Shoot You In The Back At All, Seriously 32
    5. The Big Name Players 26

    Kills this round: 65

    Casualties:

Delphinidaes – The Giga Drill Breakers - Cyberactive Squad – Lost their last member to warrior rape.
Gumpy - The Others – Regular Squad – Lost their last squad member to a flier attack
El Skid - Squad SMRT – Infected Specialist - Killed by THE BUGS

The infected Squads are no more! Now Escape!

    The remaining Players:

    Arasaki
    #1 and #2

    LemmingHead
    #1 and #2

    Burnage
    #1, #2, #3, and #4

    Notes

    Congratulations!

You are a Special Ops Squad – Cyberactive Troopers

You fight for the humans and are trying to help as many people as possible escape the doomed base. You have special training and gear to help you.

    As a Spec Ops Squad, you have been given;

Medpack (P) - this item is permanent, you may use it as many times as you like (once per turn still) without it running out.

Go and fight for the sake of humanity!

You have been infected by the Brain Bugs of Klendathu
    (You’re in the mafia)

    Mafia –
    Mafia –
    Mafia –
    Mafia Specialist –

Although you’re all still basically villagers and can do everything they can do, you don’t WANT them to escape. You want them all to die horribly and completely. So while it wouldn’t make much sense for mafia players to actively try to help the team, remember that NOT helping too much might look real suspicious. I’m sure you can find ways to cause problems.

Feel free to use your squads to sabotage gates, “misthrow” grenades, and create general problems for those stupid humans.

You 4 are in this together, and between you, you have one Kill a night. You also have a specialist. The Mafia Specialist has a Kill of his own to use every night.

BE AWARE – Warriors, Fliers, and Tanker Bugs will NOT show you mercy and will treat you like any human. Stay alive to cause the military’s death.

    For The Arachnid!

    Alpha/Bravo team
    Congratulations!

You are Veterans of Planetary War
    (The masoned good guys)

Your squads came from the same town way where wherever it is you are from, you’re all familiar. You know they’d never let you down!

You are Masoned with your teammate, and you each have a power you may choose to exercise every night.

    Team Alpha (Vigilante) -
    Team Bravo (Seer) -

Keep your squads alive and help your men escape

    For Humanity!

    Takedown Team

    Comments:

It's possible that there were "seer" type mechanics behind the obfuscation-behind-squad-names-that-noone-could-connect-to-real-names thing... But it made it really easy for the mafia to hide. All I did all game was use gates when I thought it would mess with people, explode a gate open (which turned out to be useless :( ), and look for items. WHY COULD I NOT FIND ANY GRENADES IN AMONGST THE 1,000,000 MEDPACKS AND SHIELDS ARGLEBARGLE?!

Update PM's could have been more informative. It was left up to the players to keep track of where their squad was, but giving an update on a) where each squad member was and b) what happened from their action (ie who found the AP round of the 4 guys "Look"ing? How many bugs did Larry kill?) would have made things nicer overall, though I understand it's extra overhead for you. Given actions were final, I don't think that's unreasonable though, since most of it could be preloaded.

Obviously there was "Oh my god balance issues shorten the game by 2 days or the village has zero chance" issues, but that's not such a bad thing. So long as you didn't spend all game additionally messing with probability to give the village hope, that's fine by me.

Overall, a good first attempt, though. Thanks Rane!

Edit: And also seeing that the seer and vig were masoned? Wow...okay, that helps balance things out as well D:
