I loved spirited away, but I was also a spoiled brat who got uprooted to a new state and watched it after that. I loved the main character because of that. Its also gorgeous.
I have yet to see ponyo, or Up, which makes me a terrible person.
Speaking of stuff, we're going to watch Porco Rosso tonight! We being feebsicle, mully, Campion, Kochikens and me (I have seen it already, so has Campion and Kochi).
Golden Boy is hilarious bombarder. I wish they made more than 6 episodes.
Hey all, My dad works with this guy who's nephew works for this magazine company in New York and he wanted to send some of my artwork to him. He asked to show 3 of my best art work and no skeletons....I have no idea what the hell he means. Most of my work are sequentials. Also, I don't know what I should send exactly cause I don't even know what the hell this "magazine" company does. Let alone if I'm even ready to work for these peeps. I have absolutely no professional experience.
The only actual drawings this guy my dad works with saw was from my sketch book. So he only saw a bunch of unfinished sketches. I just got my sketchbook back and I dunno who put this paper in my sketchbook, but its a print out of a card to a tattoo place in a town not so far away.
So really...I have no clue what the hell is going on.
If I decide to show 3 of my paintings, what should I do? I guess I should watermark them.

isn't golden boy a manga too?
I think it might run longer than the anime... but i'm not sure.
Wolf's Rain was pretty sweet. I just enjoy Yoko Kanno's jazzy tunes mostly.
In all honesty though, I've probably only sat down to probably 3 anime shows and enjoyed all the episodes. The good ones tend to be like 6 episodes. Like Fooly Cooly, Golden Boy, and Afro Samurai.
Interstella 5555 is awesome. Daft Punk goodness.
I want a cartoon series of just music video stories. Like Gorillaz stuff.
I know I had this convo already, but I have to say this again. Cybersix is just so damn good.
I'm also currently hooked on the new "Spectacular Spiderman" series...
I'm sorry but I couldn't get through the first minute without wanting to cut my wrists with a sledgehammer.
You guys seriously watch and enjoy this bile inducing tripe?

How does one test for allergies? I assume it would be some sort of scientific process, but in my mind it's just a couple of guys in lab coats, a patient strapped to a chair and a box full of random objects.
"Okay, lets try this cat."
"Nope, nothing."
"Peanut-butter"
"No."
"Okay, what if we smeared peanut-butter on the cat and..."
That's more or less correct.
They stab you in the arm in various spots with a minor amount of whatever chemical they are trying to get a reaction out of, then they wait a day and see what happens.
No joke, this is what they do.
Turns out they didn't know I was allergic to grass! And they use a lot of different grass samples in the test!
Wow... I would expect there would be a lot of chemicals to test too; how long did it take?
I think it took 30 minutes to see the initial reactions that they needed? Probably 15 minutes to do all the stabbings (I think there were 60 in all).

The allergy test specifically looked for lots of different types of grass, pet allergens, wheat, barley, rye, and some other stuff that I don't remember.

Sounds like a pretty boring party.
Boring.

Kiki is kind of a weird one for me. The conflict isn't as intense as the other movies, but I really like it anyway. It's like a pleasant summer day.
Nausicaa was pretty great, as I remember.
Totoro. Totoro is what the world should be like.
The Castle in the Sky is what inspired the windmill in demon days.
I r smart, I read Wikipedia.

The song is just silly and nostalgic more than anything, the movie is really very beautiful and thought provoking.
edit: Plus, Catbus.
[CHAT]bus to whomever cracks the 100.
How would you know that?
Unless...am I in the Matrix?
To be fair, I liked him before everyone else did.
edit: That may or may not be a lie.
edit2: But probably is.
I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING FOR 'LUNCH' TOMORROW
fuck you guys catbus is amazing
oh god just hearing this song makes me
pompoko is crazy as fuck but awesome
You don't think this guy's aping Ben Gibbard's music?
Have you seen either FLCL or Cowboy Bebop?
They may get your cynical heart a pumping
I dunno...it's ok...he's got his own scene and everything, his lyrics and songs are a hell of a lot less...mature?
I can appreciate them for different reasons.
Yeah, this is what I thought. I don't like Gibbard's vocals, but his lyrics are good.
