I saw it in the theatre.

I will say that it is one of the few movies that came to that point of "Did they really..?" and then passed it

    repeatedly

    This is not a compliment.

Yeah, pretty much the best way to describe AvP2 is: Painful

Really? I kinda liked it. At the very least, it was a hell of a lot LESS painful than AvP one.

Did anyone manage to watch all of the 2nd AVP movie? I'll usually sit through anything once it's been on longer than 15 minutes, but that film was actually painful. It almost made the first one look good.

I haven't seen it, but my friends who did all say it's way better than the first, apparently because the Predators aren't total bitches in the second one

It could potentially not suck. I mean, I've heard of the everyone in the cast and enjoyed the other movies they've done. There's no teenagers.

There's a predator tied to a giant plank of wood.

For a minute I thought it was going to be a movie about humans crashing on the Predator home planet but thankfully it's just humans crashing onto a Predator game preserve.

    That's an interesting plot.

Movie's probably going to be about as good as a Predator comicbook storyline can be.

I loved the first Predator movie, didn't like Predator 2 but still sat through it ok, and hated AVP but also sat through the whole thing for some reason

I really think this one can't be worse than those

That sounds less than positive but really I'm looking forward to it

    Oh!

Qmark or DrIan or somebody posted a thing a while back about the changes in the script of the new one before filming, and one of them involved a reveal of Schwarzenegger as Dutch at the very end of the movie, or something...?

I wish I could remember where it was, maybe someone else remembers and can post it

edit: there was way more than that, it was a pretty crazy script

what I'm getting at is that contact was an abortion of a movie and made no sense if you'd never read the book

and if you did read the book, the movie was made all the worse

I don't know...Topher Grace is just too plain. He worked in In Good Company because he played a bland character.

Which is precisely why they need to put him in movies where he'd never fit in. This is a good start.

He should be in the next Star Trek as a klingon. Who's with me?
