I was all congratulating myself on my squad tactics when I made my assualt on the Blood Mage den in Denerim.
I kept ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL of Sten but he went back to charging into traps at every opportunity. I'd really consider Sten more of a scout than a vanguard anyways.
I took his brain away and I never put it back.
I'll figure out these tactics someday though, the possibilities are so beautiful in my head. A warrior challenging the leader, his arrival heralded by twin fireballs. Back from the front lines, a mage's head abruptly explodes. Everyone still lying around is consumed by a pillar of fire while everyone on their feet is frozen where they stand.
I think I have a SH/BM Wynne pretty close to correct, although I think she killed me once making a bad choice of who to make into a blood sacrifice.
Seriously on

do i ever get a healer
I'm not far into it at all, but i picked a rogue and have been just generally backstabbing and running about getting my quick-shots in
I'm in redcliffe village doing their undead thingy and so far I have
Morrigan being a mage, pretty useful
Me doing stabby without attracting TOO much attention
the red haired chick being an archer
sten being a 2H deathdealer
allister being the tank
and Dog being awesome
I don't want to make morrigan a healer, that's silly
but i do get someoe who can heal, eventually, yes?

so I'm near the end of awakening I think
it's pretty good
but what the fucking fuck, how do I get my guys' loyalty up
can't do their character quests until they have 75%, can't get to 75% because all their gifts and dialogues combined don't reach that high
also, one I try and make a Warden out of my last character I can't, since the guy in the keep who's supposed to do it is already stuck in "endgame" mode.
I mean was still a good game, just sloppy design in some places

The first time I reached that point I pretty much felt like "fuck this, I'm tired" and just (redcliffe spoiler)
murdered the kid, didn't even let his mum do it instead of me cos I didn't trust her. But then when we got back to camp Alistair guilt tripped me so hard I had to reload my save and fucking march all the way to the mages tower to try and save the annoying child instead. God damn Alistair.

i played the majority of redcliffe village with a horrible migraine
I just said "Fuck it" and did the blood magic ritual and sent Morrigan into the Fade to confront the demon, at the cost of the life of the wife (which was ended by the knife)
Alistair was pissed, Arl Eamon was SUPER PISSED, but I was like "Listen it was that or kill your son" and he was like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF and everyone let it go.

My lady PC wants to do him so I kind of felt obliged to keep him happy even if he is a bit whiney. I'm looking forward to a renegade runthrough where I just mess everyone's shit up.

That's strange because
he's not really that pissed if you just straight up knife his kid in the head
Regardless I will continue to advance my own one true storyline. Future games will make this harder to maintain given that certain characters may appear not to be where I explicitly put them but I will know the truth in my mind.

man i have a hard time keeping my babies alive
can't make enough potions, just got to (redcliffe)
where that kid is possessed, guess i'll go to the mages and find a healer and some Lyrium, don't want to sacrifice the mom OR the kid,
Posts
i play through on easy and am actively annoyed if i have to do a fight more than once
i just don't like waiting for cooldowns or having to manage friendly fire

and kicked asssssssss
i was not having that shit
Alistair was pissed, Arl Eamon was SUPER PISSED, but I was like "Listen it was that or kill your son" and he was like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF and everyone let it go.
I'll read all these spoilers later

ala Carth Onasi
Alistair is totally better than Carth and not nearly as much of a whiner with issues
but still, he just has this tone about him
like they were trying really hard
have any of you tried playing through as one of your dudes when he ends up
i got a dude i did that with and i am very, very curious about where that will go.
couldn't miss out on an opportunity to play a pissy frenchman
about that
is your background "silly french man" regardless of the race you pick for a new dude?
man I dunno
but if there are dwarves in Orlais
they need to have a texan accent
MAGIC!
And I bet people will complain about both!
Oh well, whatevah
Also, I am gonna buy this as soon as it goes on any sort of sale, because I don't think I can play through ME2 again for a while.
That's strange because
It's two different creative teams.
I mean, I'm pretty sure it is?
on two different planets
where the mass effect one is lightyears in the future
What one is that?

You get an excellent healer in the mage tower, if...
