A small challenge for all those tea-party know-nothings out there. Look at your Federal Form 1040. Take your adjusted gross income (Line 37). Divide it into your federal taxes (Line 60). Multiply by 100. If it's larger than 15%, e-mail me. If it's not, kindly shut the fuck up and go home, until you know what you're talking about. . .

well, I have sent off the comments to the undergrad on his dissertation and have done a plan for the next year in preparation for a meeting tomorrow which I wouldn't be having if I'd kept my bloody mouth shut and pretended everything was fine.
Now kinda sitting about for half an hour 'till my meeting.

because you know, politics are pretty different elsewhere
Not as far as I can tell. The US - nothing. China - nothing. Copenhagen - dismal failure. The usual argument? A mix of "we can't afford it" and "it'll raise taxes!!".
You can kill people with "Repair Tools" and Defribrillators? I might actually have to make this my very first war game ever, or should I start with something based in World War II? You know, just because.
