That's an awesome piece of art but I don't really dig Ronan's costume that much. The guy who did all those made everyone look hella cool though.
The costume isn't bad except the belt pouches. Why? Why must there always be pouches hanging off these people? Do you ever see them putting anything in or out of them?
Well, sometimes I can dig it. You know, if Rocket Raccoon has pouches for various explosives or Captain America has pouches for his rebreather so he can fight space nazis without being hampered by any lack of air. But yeah, for Ronan, who can survive in space and wields a weapon which can do pretty much anything, they seem pointless.

Exactly. If you have guns or gadgets than sure, cover yourself in pouches I won't mind (Cable in the 90's had pouches ontop of pouches and it was... well it wasn't as terrible as it sounds). But even when characters with pouches have good reason for said pouches the pouches are rarely ever seen in use.

Well if I was writing a comic about Cable I wouldn't centre entire panels on "Cable pulls a grenade out of his pouch," I'd just having him throwing the grenade and it would be assumed. I think your desire to see hot pouch action is rather uncommon outside people with marsupial fetishes.
well its always good to carry some change/cash for emergencies. if he is an intergalactic/intertime traveler that would require a lot of pouches for a lot of different currency
If someone goes hiking, they tend to wear clothing with lots of pouches. If a soldier goes out into the field, he has lots of pouches for different stuff. So it makes sense for a hero to have lots of pouches too. If nothing else, he has something to put his Nintendo DS in while he's out on patrol.

The only guy I can think off the top of my head who is always with the pouches is Bats, depending on story, of course.
I was pushing for kind of a skeletal-themed, streamlined cyborg, that just looks beat to shit. Like, at one point he was probably the height of military technology, but he's seen too many fights, and has slowly become a relic.

Edit: Updated with rough colors.
Needs more robotics. Add in some random cables running through his body at least :P I like my cyborgs obviously robotized.
On the lack of robotics, I actually did start off with more cables and extraneous metal bits. But I kept questioning why he'd have loose technological gewgaws hanging off him, as such things could be easily damaged, and impair him. Plus, he was always put together by reputable scientific outfits, unlike someone like Frankencastle, so I reasoned that he'd look relatively streamlined.
I may draw him from the rear though, and give him some cyborg-y bits.

There's a dirty joke waiting to be told. Even better, a dirty Cyborg joke.
Yeah, all kinds of cables and wires and doo-dads are kind of silly. It makes sense for Punisher, but not for a dude that was built as a state of the art cyborg by some big military industry company.
You don't need a ton of junk just hanging off, but
is about what I was thinking. Making it clear that the metal bits are him, not just a piece of armor over a normal dude. Other way to do that: having guns/gadgets pop out when necessary.

If it's short, like ten pages or less, and something that fits my sensibilities, sure.

but first we gotta get the wicked rad origin issue done

So I last night I drew a Deathlok redesign.

Also?
I like those shoulder pads, and want to steal them.

Also that's a pretty good redesign. Though I'd like more in the way of cyborgery, I like the lack of steel-jacketed muscle arms.
"hey, can you believe those ren-faire guys were just going to throw this stuff out?"
