I've only seen two types of fights where that seemed true, vs. monsters with rescue and the rare encounter where you need a sentinel to absorb a large attack
fights with female soldier types can turn nasty very quikc
and a lot of bosses like to shit on you if you aren't paying attention
Resonance of Fate has a ridiculously complex and difficult as hell combat system
I'm on like chapter 4 or something and I still don't realize what I'm doing most of the time. I just make my dudes jump and shoot.

I mean I guess if you aren't actively watching the screen when you play the game yeah those things could mess you up but mannnn
There's just not enough meaningful decisions to make in combat

A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.
Or you can get some Royal Armlets for some ridiculous damage reduction. Don't think it's too unfeasible to get 45% damage reduction in chapter 11. And post game you could get 80%.
I used to rock Vanille/Fang/Light for most of the game. Then I switched out Vanille with hope during the last chapters.
Starting some of the fights with Evened Odds made things go smoother.
I use Vanille for Adamantoise farming until I can actually kill those things without Death.
Also Neochu is a bitch...WHY WON'T YOU LET DEATH KILL YOU!
I mean, I just don't get why people whine about Hope's hp so much. He's got to have some weakness to account for the fact that he's the best medic, synergist and ravager (well, the last two are arguable as to whether he's the best or a really close second). Hell, he's even the best saboteur if you happen to raise the 9 million or so CP you'd need to get all of his abilities in that role.

They're multiplicative, not additive. You could hit about 60% with 4 royal armlets at max level (they're 20% right?)
15% maxed, but that's enough for anything before post game. I mean, honestly, if stuff is one shotting Hope consistently then you're probably getting wiped out by it anyway.

my hope had three bangles all the time
also my go to team for most of the game was light/hope/sazh. i really like buffs (and tri disaster)
I am still very early in the game, but I was 1) not changing paradigms nearly enough and 2) had failed to customize and create different paradigms to allow for more choices in battles.
but now I think I will be ok

Yeah it's tempting to be stubborn and try to stick in a paradigm, but you need to change quite a lot. Medics are deadweight when no one's hurt badly, synergists when everyone has the basic good buffs, etc.

right now sticking with Light/Hope/Fang
is this best choice?
I might swap out Hope with Sazh unless his ass gets Haste soon
I used Light/Sazh/Vanille for that chapter 9 boss where you are and I crushed him.
Haste is super good, and Vanille has deprotect and deshell.
maybe I should just blast Fang as a Commando and Sentinel and make Vanille my go-to Sab for any fights that need it
Deshell and Deprotect will come in handy.
although man that boss was a bitch
took twice as long as the expected time
should have just gotten Odin in there
vanille is still far and away the best sabateur though
and didnt use any eidolons
but goddamn Hope loved dying in that fight
starred
just pump all of Sazh and Vanille's CP into Syn and Sab respectively
let Snow cry in the corner for the rest of the game
like
really shitty
he always will have really shitty hp

I mean, I'd also rank Hope's parents as more important than big tits with glasses.

also upgrading royal armlets/general's belts
finally made it to Chapter 11
no idea what to do now
Coran Attack!
It's probably related more to his default roles but yeah his HP sucks.
What are you doing differently than you were before, maybe I'm wrong too
but now I think I will be ok

And it's always good to fill out all 6 slots.
I agree, but I had way less fun with Hope's, because I hated Hope and didn't want to ever use him.
Dear satan I wish for this or maybe some of this....oh and I'm a medium or a large.
