To be fair, you have no idea as to the context of the image. I don't really see it as being as big a deal as you're making it out to be.

We don't know the context of the images, but going by recent promos, like the Avengers/Secret Avengers ones, these X-Men promos, you can make a good guess.

And then you have those past promo pieces (OMD, Norman Osborn's secret weapon) that had none of the characters on them that turned out to actually be the key players in those stories and it just makes Marvel look foolish. My whole point is why make a misleading promo piece? It's counter productive. And when you do make a promo piece, why spoil the current story? (for the sake of Second Coming, no one cares about Psylocke or Magneto, one is a supporting character, the other is out of commission for the time being)

wasnt there also a promo piece awhile back that had Hope with the phoenix force behind her?

I might be mistaken, but I certainly seem to remember that.

This is how the real Marvel Zombie plaque starts, with the speedsters. First it was Spitfire, then Jesse Quick, wasn't there some speedster chick from the Milestone Universe and what Kirkman has planned for Guardians of the Globe?

But you don't know that the promo piece is misleading. If your complaining about past promos then fine. It just doesn't really apply to these images as they are still completely out of context.

I was excited for a minute to see that Gambit looked to be in more subdued colors. Then I saw the purple rectangles on his leg.

I will never understand the rationale behind putting a thief in bright pink and purple.

Blade, Lyra, and Spider-Man are all characters that could be considered mutants in some sense, but I'm not sure about Elektra... she's had psychic tricks before, but I was never sure if she was just being cool or actually had some superhuman powers besides never staying dead.

She did have some awesome powers in her equally awesome Jennifer Garner movie, though. I need to watch that again soon.

First of all, what man don't watch electra the motion picture.

Secondly, as long as that donald duck is a real promo (can't check at work) the secondary characters are all just jokes. It was a slow, steady progression to insanity.

Nah, the Howard/Wolverine team-up image is from Comics Alliance.

However. If the next promo is Howard and Machine Man? I think I'm going to be buying some X-Men comics.

wow. I have never seen howard the duck except in screens of his live action movie. How did they get away with that when they created the character.

I mean that looks exactly like the disney character.

Wolverine / Howard the Duck crossover book sounds more exciting to me than the real promos.

They're both gruff, tough-talking dudes who don't take no sass. It would work.

Scott has to disband X-Force to keep the X-men from mutinying. But he still needs a pair of operatives who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Then, he gets a phone call from a minor Marvel character looking for asylum on Utopia. A plan starts coming together ...

Or when I tried to get on the forums a while ago, it gave me a database error - probably has something to do with the double post.

Has Claremont named Gambit Remy Picard in X-Men Forever because of a plot that was from his old run or just something new in Forever? I've read the book since the Claremont days, but can't remember if he was actually called Picard back then.
