We are bros no more TLB.

Nah, that's cool. I'm not even sure anyone would know it was Deathlok if I didn't say as much, so it's probably a failure on that level. But my Deathlok isn't wearing a unitard. Or what appears to be cut-off daisy duke shorts, as in durandal's screenshot.

    So at least there's that.

Canadian Deathlok is actually just a dude who got into a bad rollerblading accident, and their Communist Nazi healthcare system gave him robot-parts and sent him back to work at the Syrup Shack.

I've always liked Alan Scott's costume.

"hey, can you believe those ren-faire guys were just going to throw this stuff out?"

Much like Captain Marvel, the Golden Age Green Lantern has a costume that should be laughable, but just works for me, somehow.

One Spidey-costume I liked was the electro-armor, when he teamed up with X-Man to fight Electro, that one time.

    Spider-man_electro_armor.jpg

Ignoring the fact it's insulation, it made me think that even with super-agility and durability, you'd want at least a bit of padding if your style is flinging yourself around at high speeds. Adds a bit of a Parkour (geddit?) traceur to the usual gymnastic look.

I don't think the classic spider-costume is that bad or urgently needs replaced, though the black and Ben Reilly costumes are great alternatives.
I hate web-capes, though. That's someone's bad idea of making Pete run about shouting "look at me, I'm Terry Maginnis!"

    Talking about simple, iconic costumes:

Hey, Project Rooftop put up the Black Canary Redesign Contest entries.

I think Jenny Park's is my favorite, but the Susan Richards hairdo kind of kills it for me. Carly Monado's layered approach is interesting, working in both canary yellow and Dinah's usual black. Joel Priddy's is also really nice, but I'm not sure how the leggings would look rendered in a different artists' stle.

I'm really not sold on the winner Jemma Salume's entry at all though. It's a really nice drawing, but I can't imagine it looking good rendered more realistically. It's basically a jacket without sleeves, no pants, and with with heeled boots and bracers. That have little Hermes wings on them. I dunno, I can't imagine Dinah zipping around on her motorcycle while wearing that.

Oh I get it, a woman had to win a contest to design an outfit for a female superhero. Sexist much, AmeriKKKa?

I kid, I kid. I liked Mat Major's the best because Canary should wear boots that add more face crackage when she's kicking people.

If Andy MacDonald's outfit was in black I would have voted for it because it's the most 80's of them all.

Mat Major's was my favorite. If Steph had become Dinah's protege instead, she could have rocked that outfit.

I do love the feather boa on MacDonald's, and it's kind of gloriously glam rock. Major's was okay, but I felt like it belonged on a younger character. Like, if Black Canary had a protege, that's what she'd wear.

I can see Major's as Dinah's costume now, if anything you get rid of the eye mask.

What it really reminds me of (mainly in his style) is Shawn McManus' Cinderella and that wins super thumbs up from me anytime.

I really don't like the winning entry. Mat Major's is my favorite, although it is a lot younger look. A variation that would fit current Dinah would be great

Jenny Park's is my second favorite, if it fixed the mom look and the jacket collar. and got rid of the earings

The winning entry just looks really fragile. I just can't see those heels working out at all. Though it's still a beautiful drawing.

I think the MacDonald design is pretty ace though. Maybe a logo, mask, or something, but aside from that I dig it.

The winning design is a really great costume, but it really needs the leather jacket or something to help make the outfit look a bit tougher. That said it would be a really awesome costume on a speedster character or a psychic.

No point in Black Canary wearing much of a mask. If you don't do it at first it kind of defeats the purpose.

I don't really mind the earrings, but the cleavage seems silly to me. Just make the zip-up collar a part of the shirt. Also, I like that there's a black bird on the back of her jacket, as shown in the chibi version next to the normal sized picture.

Deadshot you, like every secret six member, are just fuck'in AWESOME!

But christ dude, you need a makeover. Ditch the diaper head and tighty whities!

    235612-74690-deadshot_super.jpg

And Catman, you may be even MORE bad ass then Deadshot and even MORE bad ass then Batman, but you need a costume to represent that son! Love the mask and torn up cape, but you gotta get a new suit there. Preferably something not skin tight, as I find that kinda ridiculous.

    catman-batman1.jpg

Side note, why the hell does the OP have spider-man's costume in the poop section? Those are some time and tested duds my man.

    Agreed, that look is awesome.

I don't like his plain white mask (or the metal one), but sometimes they kinda give him this bandage/mummy like wrap, which is bad ass to the max.
