Well, maybe decide if I should just use my CAG first. Technically I still haven't used my move.

    A) If you think you're just gonna jump though, I'll just say I take a 7 o'clock viper and move to 9 o'clock.

    B) If you think I should use my CAG, I'll still stick at 7 o'clock and do 1) Move 5 o'clock to 3 o'clock. 2-5) 7 o'clock shoots 4 times. 6) Move a 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock.

So pick option A or B and Rius can do the rolls if you choose B, and then do what you want. If you aren't sure, I'll just default to Option A so we don't have to wait for dice rolling.

If you think we can clean up this situation a bit and make a less risky jump, then I'm all for trying that. Let's do your CAG thing and see how it improves things.

    Ok, then as stated.

    Taking a viper at 7 o'clock and using CAG OPG to 1) Move 5 o'clock viper to 3 o'clock. 2-5) 7 o'clock viper shoots 4 times. 6) Move a 7 o'clock viper to 9 o'clock.

Apparently, Lee's near-death experience of being shot down in a Viper and barely making it back to the Hangar deck doesn't slow him down one bit; there isn't even time to consider carting him off to Sickbay before the Cylon Assault begins and fresh vipers are launched. Commandeering one, he launches and immediately begins rallying the active vipers, sending out orders over the radio.

A Raptor at 5 O'Clock moves to 3 O'Clock to further guard the civilian ships there.
A Raptor at 7 O'Clock opens fire on the Raiders in his sector and destroys three of them. That Raptor then flies to 9 O'Clock to cover the stray Civilian there.
    01 O'Clock: 2 Heavy Raiders
    03 O'Clock: 2 Raiders, 3 Vipers, 4 Civilians
    05 O'Clock: 2 Civilians
    07 O'Clock: 1 Raider, 1 Viper, Lee Adama (Viper), 2 Civilians
    09 O'Clock: 2 Basestars, 2 Raiders, 1 Viper, 1 Civilian
    11 O'Clock: 4 Raiders

Dradis is looking just a little clearer, Admiral; what are your orders?

"Let's keep those guns blazing. We've got civvies to protect." Tigh moves over to the console, giving Zarek a bit of an annoyed look. "Scramble aft vipers! Keep those raiders away from the fleet!"
Stay put and activate Command, ordering a viper at 3 o'clock to attack raiders twice.

"Admiral Tigh, I may not have as much military experience as you, but I due have some experience with guerrilla tactics. I'd advise you to activate the Viper in 9 instead, as 3 vipers should more than protect against 2 Raiders, and 4 Raiders are headed towards 9. "
It might be too late, but Dracil hasn't confirmed the action yet, so who knows.

Tigh visibly bristles at the advice, but relents. "Fair enough. If this change of course costs any lives, they're on your heads. Fore vipers, scramble!"
Change orders: Vipers at 9 o'clock attack twice instead of vipers at 3 o'clock.

The viper pilot in front of Galactica reacts favorably to his orders, happy to take some potshots at the toaster scum. He takes one down, but there's plenty more where that came from.

Meanwhile, an unexpected shortage of water causes some concern for President Baltar.

Working together, the Admiral and the President are able to mollify the fleet's water shortage concerns. Also, DRADIS looks a little clearer now; many of the Cylon Raider contacts have been wiped from the grid. But not all is well; both of the Cylon Basestars open fire on Galactica.

Basestars Attack Galactica (1d8=1, 1d8=7) Miss. Hit!

One missile salvo is swallowed up by the close-in defense munitions but the other makes it through, causing a chain reaction of damage that ends in an explosion at the Command table. Admiral Tigh and Tom Zarek are rushed to sickbay with lacerations and some minor burns while the FTL crew makes the penultimate calculations for a successful jump.

I can go shoot them I suppose. But there'll still be a lot of them.

Alternatively you could go with my previous suggestion of going to comm and moving that civilian out of there and hope we get a jump step.

Or you could just jump us out of here.

I would assume trying to move that civvie out of there would be the best option to keep them alive - there's a much higher potential population hit from losing that ship than trying to early-jump.
