Releasing exclusively to vinyl sounds like a terrible idea.
Do they want to be struggling, or are they just too hip to conform to my ideas of being able to listen to music away from a damn record player.
i can't remember exactly who it was
maybe the guy from peste noire?
but whoever he is he was all "our music isn't meant to played on a computer, maaaan"
Yea, it was him and no one takes that guy seriously anyways.

Also, on the topic of vinyl, a lot of death/black metal bands release some pretty cool stuff on vinyl format that you can't get on CD. I mean, it'll be the same album, but it'll have extra songs, extended tracks, or different track listing.
What I don't get is people buying a vinyl album because of the color of the wax. Like they'll deliberately pay 20 bucks more for vinyl that comes in red than regular black.

I wouldn't pay more but I think it's really cool when vinyl is colored.
Hey Jezz we gotta hit up that place near Manly again some time soon!
i was going to go yesterday but when i rang to see when they were open til the number was apparently disconnected... i wasn't brave enough to go all the way out there only to face disappointment

I guess it depends on whether you're buying it as an album or as a collector's item (or both). Some people like the collect "rare" vinyl or what have you.

Aw man. But it's so close to you... well compared to me anyway.
I have a vinyl of a lamb of god album I found just lying around in my room
I have no idea where it came from
Why the fuck would they put their music on vinyl?
That's bizarre.

aw someone reverted the peste noire wiki article that was written by a famine fanboy, it was hilarious
What gets me is that there are people out there that actually believe in the bullshit this guy spouts. Remember the goat and crossbow thing he came out with in one of his interviews?

What really astounds me is that they think it actually means anything to more than 5 people in the world.
There was a bit in Bloodbath's live Wacken DVD where Akerfeldt says something like "...and we're releasing it on vinyl, because vinyl fucking rules!"

"okay, maybe not"
Hahaha Arkona were in the office, what the hell
about 5 minutes from the end of the st. patricks day one, when the cleaning crew walk in it's this song
i don't know i guess i'm different but to me buying vinyl is all about understanding the history of music. i'll find something that has great art, or with a producer credit i recognize, or in a genre i'm a bit unsure of but want to get into. and it'll be a gamble usually but generally it'll have some excellent music i never would have even ventured into. and i'll end up reading into prog rock for three hours or listening to a rad funk song called young girls are my weakness
buying vinyl of a band who has probably has a myspace page and an exclusive itunes track kind of doesn't make sense to me.
Yeah I found a whole bunch of cool stuff on vinyl for basically no money. I have a really weird Hendrix album, I got Tommy by the Who for about £3, a UK Subs album (with an extra live album included) for £1.50, and a whole bunch of other things. I miss that record shop
I recently came across a vinyl of Iron Maiden's 'Piece of Mind' in excellent condition, for $5.
I've already listened to the CD countless times, but still, holy shit is this awesome.

Watching it right now on the 60'' and the new stereo system.
Life changing.
