Truly, anybody who feels they didn't 'level enchanting for somebody else's benefit' is perfectly able to not do heroics and thus never have to have somebody use their precious skill. Go do dailies all day and just do a trollface while you think about how nobody is taking advantage of you.

    I always charge non-guildies/non-friends a crafting fee.

But, I don't advertise either, so I'm not even asking for their business. I don't even want their business.

I guess it's all about keeping people from bothering me. :P If they somehow find me, and are willing to pay, well, I guess I'll do it.

If you hate the auto-DE system because of some sort of .. jealousy.. You just really need to get over it. (Yes, I have a character with Enchanting).

Charging people for enchants is pretty normal though. That goes for any profession.

I've had very few problems with low-level LFD, even queuing solo as a dps. Healers should have relatively quick queues, and a good healer can carry bad dps and tanks.

I look at the enchanting thing for instances like this.....that stuff is gonna get rolled on for need/greed anyways. It's not mine unless I win the roll and my chances of doing so are the same as ever. Maybe I end up with it and maybe not. I don't care if people have another loot option when rolling. It doesn't take anything from me. Quite frankly it saves me time because I don't have to DE stuff for people at the end.

Enchanters are just mad that they can no longer lie about not being an enchanter, roll need or greed on all the shit in a heroic and then DE it after they leave the group. On the same token, they are mad that it loosened their stranglehold on the enchanting mats market. Dream Shards aren't 50g anymore and abyss crystals aren't 100g anymore. The entire server and game as a whole benefits. Same reason they changed leatherworking and herbalism.

All of the differing opinions on the issue seem to stem mainly from how DEing was handled on your particular server before the system was put in place. Some servers had need/greed/pass where if everyone passed the DE'er needed and sharded it and shards were rolled on then (basically what we have now) or at the end (allowed everyone to potentially get a shard). Some servers had DEers who never revealed themselves and got all the shards from greeding stuff for themselves afterwards. Some even always tried to need ninja the epics at the end for shards.

The main bad thing about the system is that coupled with the rush-rush-rush of heroics now, people don't really have enough time to decide if they actually need something or not and thus default to need if they think it's something their current spec, offspec, or non-specced offspec(s) (like a resto/balance druid who has a feral set) can use because if they greed and it ends up getting sharded, they can't ask for it later on.

Heck, I've been making good money selling scrolls. So far I've sold about a dozen or so potency scrolls, and a few +SP to staff enchants. I likes being an enchanter.

Get into a raid group with an enchanter. I do this every week when I clear Karazhan. Even if they aren't in the zone, you can use their DE button.

I lucked out on my warrior, decided to try and solo MgT and it ended up being a ballbuster (especially Kael). I finished though, and the phoenix dropped on the first go :D

In the gear you can get from badges these days you should be able to solo Moroes on any tank class and probably duo with most dps classes and a healer.

My main is a priest so unfortunately I'm not goin to be able to solo it. As I said, my guild is teeny-tiny and our only tank barely plays these days, it's tough to catch him online.

Maybe I will try to duo it with my GM. She's a priest too, but she's uber geared from obsessive raiding with Leftovers. :)

Just find a tank. A tank + any other player can duo Moroes (the tank can most likely solo it, but you'll lend valuable moral support). If you wanted to go past that (to pick up sunfire/deathfrost or just get old acievements), you'd probably need 3 if you don't want to bang your head forever against an unfavorable Opera (R&J pretty much demands an interrupt, the other two would benefit from a healer) or to do Netherspite at all.

I can solo Moroes pretty easily on my prot pally. I don't remember if I've tried it on my DK or not, think I have...

The thing you have to worry about when *duoing* Moroes, is the Gouge will cause the entire mob of Moroes+adds to rush the other person immediately.

We learned that the hard way when my friend brought his druid one the first times we did it.

    Funny story...

Just recently, we took a group of people to push through, geared 80s in a mix of ICC 5man gear, and we broke the Oz encounter by killing everything too fast.

    So, uh. DPS slowly?
