I swear to god I'm never going to actually get to play D&D. I've owned this fucking handbook for almost a year now.
You're not missing much. 4th ed is pretty shit.
I've never gotten to play any sort of RPG, I'll take whatever I can get.
You'll still be able to say that after having played 4th Ed.

What are some good snacks I can keep at my desk? Everything in the vending machines is death in chip form.

Trail mix. Those keebler Elfin Crackers (good with coffee). Nuts in general (just not sunflower seeds for fucks sake those make such a mess). Dried fruit / fruit leather. Jerkey.

It is entirely reasonable. If the game doesn't fucking work, then it fails, fundamentally, as a game.

Especially Splinter Cell, because rather than failing as a result of a technical error it fails because its developer deliberately sabotaged it in a move of dumbfounding stupidity.

If I recall, Than's opinion on 4E is that it's a pretty good tactical miniatures game, but not an RPG.

Here, he's saying that Raiden will still be able to say he hasn't played an RPG ever even after playing 4E, because it's not an RPG to him.
