Hell if I know dude. Do you mind traveling? Because the agency I work for will hire people with computer skills but no formal training, but you're part time worker and get deployed to temporary work sites. But basically if you get in good with your region you can be deployed year round.
But it's government so you can't have any major thing on your record.

Eh. I.T. is pretty fucked up on hiring. Really you could apply this to everything, but it all boils down to knowing someone really. Because I.T. Managers are the WORST kinds of good old boys.

You're in NY right? Region II would be your region and that's NY, NJ, Puerto Rico, and The Virgin Islands. Trust me they don't send noobs to the last 2 because you get fat, FAT per diem for them. But with this job you can go "unavailable" and not be deployed penalty free.

If I had a MBP I would probably shell out the cash for Parallels because it will "extract" Windows applications out of the virtualization and they'll exist on your Mac desktop. It's pretty cool.
