Maxing my stable at the moment...so long to build!! I'm also in the process of knocking down some iron mines, it sucks that it is the resource I have a ton of and can't do much with it, im already almost capped out with like 70k in storage. Will I need more later or can I just up my timber and stone production?
well if you're like the guys who are making 190k beserker armies, then yes you will. Iron is only used for troop production, as far as I can tell.
I've sent about 100 pallies, 60 locks and 50 berserkers and easily defeated the level 3 dragon.
That probably has a lot to do with it. I was sending mainly berzerkers, and an assortment of mages, locks, crossbowmen, rangers, etc. Didn't have paladins yet, or knights. Yesterdays raid I sent more like 1150 dudes, and I won, but it was about the same units as the previous attempt. I'm now focusing on getting access to heavier units so I should be able to pull it off with less soon. I can't imagine what you'd have to send to a L4 dragon.
So I made a new city on world 5 for shits and grins to test out one of the uber builds from the forums. I might keep it, so if there's a PA alliance could 'Selecta' get an invite? I'm on continent 64 but I guess it doesn't really matter.
Ok, do we have any alliances on server 3 that can still take people? I am all ready to found my second town, I have ocean access and would REALLY like to play with some PA people instead of either alone or some random jagoffs. IM me if so, ingame name is Phant
So, I've managed to convince a small group of people to start some new guys on World 7 tomorrow (Sunday) at 6pm PST/ 9pm EST. If you want in to our group just send me a PM with your character name after 6 tomorrow.
Sent off a Baron to settle a new city on Server 3's Continent 52. He'll be arriving in about 12 hours. Can I have an invite to the alliance now? (My main city is on Continent 63)
There's been a new update to the game. Two big changes:
1) Players can now be kicked out for inactivity. Their towns become "lawless", and are free for anyone with a spare Baron to take over, instead of having to look for empty spots to settle. Lawless towns slowly decay over time, until they disappear entirely.
2) You can now get artifacts from bosses one level lower than you.

What continent are you on? I'm on 30 and I have river access, but I'm no where near ready to get a harbor or else I would send troops your way.

I had a feeling like Ikariam, the game is more interesting the more towns you get.
I wish you had a shared resource pool though; but I guess it isn't unexpected.

Starting on World 6 to learn the ropes.
Depending on your title you'll have access to better and more efficient resource purchases.
For example as an Earl I can buy 20k of a resource for only 14 crystals. Whereas a Baron can only buy 10k for 12 crystals.
Definitely a boon starting a new town; though a building minister is also really nice starting a new town.

I just dropped a hundred or so diamonds into getting another couple moonstones and a baron so I can start my third town.
Turns out that it's not one stone per baron. You need an increasing amount per extra baron.
EDIT: just a general note though:
Keep on the lookout folks for more of these codes and be sure to share them here.
Even 500 diamonds is a really nice bonus now and then.
