You need to dash more, and throw more oil, and thunderclap as well.

Honey I did all of those things every single time they were off cooldown. It's not like I didn't finish the quest eventually (on two characters). Targeting the oil when you have consistent 100ms latency is also real, real bad. I didn't have as hard of time on my priest back in Washington when I had better interwebs, but more recently when I did it on my shammy it was terribad.

But I still soloed Arugal on my shammy so I am awesome.

    Yes, and?

Were we pretending that enjoyment of this quest was somehow magically objective, and not wholly subjective like... enjoyment (or lack) of every single other aspect of the game?

The frost giant one was terrible, as was the one in the undead troll zone...but I loved all the rest of them.

The frost giant one was also in Zul'drak (the undead troll zone) was there another one there too? I can't recall it. I think they nerfed the giant one slightly, the bosses seemed to go down a bit faster this most recent time I did it on my shammy, and it seemed easier to grab the lightning clouds for health this time also (when I did it on my priest every time you'd try to grab a lightning cloud you'd pick up a ghoul instead).

Yeah, I'm not feeling this patch. A solitary new boss is hardly going a reason to resub. The cross-game chat is going to be fucking awesome, however. Can't wait for that.

Well, the Ruby Sanctum is just an in-game ad for Cataclysm, anyways.

But, I definitely agree about the cross-game chat. It'll be better when we have WoW, Starcraft II, Diablo III, and the new MMO, but I'm really digging Battle.net 2.0's integration of all things Blizzard.

So guys, my gf got her account hacked. Apparently a keylogger came with an addon she got from Curse at some point. Thankfully she wasn't a hardcore player, so she only lost all the gear on her 73 DK and about 1000g.
We've both gotten authenticators now, and already reported her account to blizz. How long should we expect to wait on a recovery, and is it ok for her to keep playing in the meantime?

I think it's normal for Bliz to lock accounts during investigation, if they do that, she'll know and obviously won't be able to play. Otherwise I imagine she can play as normal.

Yeah they'll unlock the account when they verify you own it; but it'll take longer to get your stuff back.

I think they implemented that new "take this trash immediately or wait awhile if you want your actual stuff back" policy though.

From the sounds of it you might be better off just taking the stock stuff and running with it.

You think they'd have learned they lesson with the random trash dump since that was how that one dude got the shirt-of-insta-kill, and ultimately, got banned for using it.

Lets not forget though, some Bliz employee sent that thing to the warlock friend of the guild master after an account theft incident.

Is it only heroics where being non-crittable as a tank is necessary? If I wanted to LFD my way to 80 would it be enough to take some tank-oriented quest gear, grab a prot spec and jump in?

I can't recall the actual 80 instances themselves, but I tanked literally every other one as either ret or arms while leveling up.

Druids are uncrittable from talents, so that's not something you have to worry about.

In general, don't worry about uncrittability with leveling dungeons. Do your best to get much sta/def gear and that'll be fine.

Uncritability is not necessary in leveling dungeons, but mitigation really helps and you should get as much of it as you can. My 34 war that I've been leveling through dungeons has around 30% mitigation and I feel godlike in those dungeons as a result.

While I was expecting this to be the case, I'd probably abstain because I'd feel too much like a bother.

The biggest pain in the ass will be levelling one handed anything, though that doesn't matter as much for druids I guess

The druid will be easy since they're uncrittable from talents. The only real difference between druid tanking gear and druid dps gear is that tanking gear is enchanted and gemmed for stamina. For the plate tanks, just craft the low level cobalt armor, it's a super cheap ready-made tanking set and the rest you'll get from running the dungeons.

Honestly, for my druid, I don't gem for pure stam. I gem agi, agi/stam, and agi/hit (or crit, if I'm at hit cap)

It's never hampered my ability to tank anything, and it makes it easier to use most of the pieces as dps gear as well. I do keep 2 helms around though, due to metas. Not to mention jewelry and trinkets.

If I remember correctly it's a gauntlet-style OS, where you do the 3 sub bosses in succession before getting to the boss.

It's got 3 mini bosses that will each drop an emblem of frost, then a main boss who will drop badge+LK equivalent loot.

Heroic mode will be the same as ICC, though, and not OS. Meaning instead of activating hard mode by leaving the sub-bosses alive, you can just toggle back and forth

refresher on the Ruby Sanctum format. It'll be "comparable" to Obsidian Sanctum, except hardmode is activated Icecrown style (meaning, you flip a toggle, instead of pulling more dagrons).
