Disc Sports - Mostly of the Ultimate and Golf varieties.
I'm new into it but getting into it pretty hard. Been playing a few months. We have a great 18 hole course here in Juneau, Alaska. It's a bit more treacherous than most Disc Golf courses as it's built in the middle of the northern most rain forest. What it lacks in distance it makes up for in obstacles.
Q: What is this sport you may ask?
A: Essentially you play golf with (not)frisbees. Throw from the starter box, play from where it lands to make it into a basket.
Q: Why is it cool?
A: Because the discs have cool names and because hipsters drinking pbr play.
Ultimately it is just something fun to do. My wife and I suck but love playing. I can maybe get 100-150 ft on a clear drive, nothing compared to pro's. We are thinking of building a practice basket. Let's hear your Frolf stories!
