Jupiter Jack and other such car devices.

So, I want to play music from my phone and talk hands free in my car. I have seen commercials for the Jupiter Jack ($20) and I was curious if there were any better options.

short answer: not for $20, no.
that thing looks like a piece of shit and only transmits on one frequency. you get what you pay for.

    long answer:

a bluetooth headset that doesn't suck

if you have an iphone, you can get an itrip with a dock connector for a little more that will charge it as well. if you don't want to buy a headset, this model probably would work ok in speakerphone mode.

I picked up one of the "good" Belkin transmitters and it was pretty rough too, no matter what frequency I set it to (you can select any frequency with it). It took about a week to find a station that was mostly clear for my entire commute to work, but even then there was a lot of static. Honestly, any device that transmits already (i.e. a phone) is probably going to interfere with the transmitter that you buy.
