I don't mind switching to Cavil, I'm not really sure how the BSG games are balanced for different char picks. And it wouldn't affect anybody else's char choices either since gene could still take the chief

Eh, it's not a balance issue in the "These picks are less balanced than these other picks" sense, but in the "without a sympathizer you're guaranteed to have more humans than Cylons no matter what" sense.
The game is balanced at 5 players with one more human than Cylons, so having an even split of players doesn't magically equal "balance". Given the large number of no-sympathizer six-player games we ran here, and the fact that a bit over half of them ended up as Cylon victories, I think the no-sympathizer variant is fairly well balanced . (With Pegasus rules, you add in the treachery cards and weakened Investigative Committee, along with the new Pegasus locations; balance shouldn't change much, though.)

We also have access to some new locations such that make fighting off cylon atacks easier. I am experienced only in the base game and dont claim to be an expert and I also do not mean to offer an opinion, just an observation.
So, I'm getting a general consensus on No Sympathizer. However, this is going to take a bit longer than I thought. I ran into about four storms so bad I had to pull over and wait them out.
I like games and all, but I'd like to make sure that I have a bed first.
Also, I think everyone needs to list initial draws?
Everyone except Helo, who needs to give his flex draw (if any); three cards from your normal hand of five. Though technically that happens after you get a look at your initial loyalty, it really shouldn't affect your choice.

I have no flex draw, so 2 Leadership, 2 Tactics, and 1 Piloting.
Ok. So, here's the deal. I arrived at my room in the house and discovered my bed was missing. This intrigued me, since I had made an arrangement with the previous tenant about using the bed in the room.
It turns out that one of the girls in the house across the street came and decided that it belonged in the girl's house. A long discussion later, after we eventually found out that the bed did, indeed, belong in my room, it was brought back. This was about a half an hour ago because it took so long to find her due to her avoiding me. I still need to set the bed up and find my alarm clock so I don't sleep 'till noon.
I know I said that I'd get stuff out tonight, but I'm really, really tired and don't wanna set the board up and deal out the cards, and the PM all of you the information.
I hope you appreciate the ride to the ship, Dr. Baltar! I'll just be hanging out here on the irradiated ruins of Caprica with Lt. Valerii.
...come to think of it, feel free to take a while to come pick me up.
Cap, take all the time you need.

Well, I'm sure I'm grateful, Captain. And I promise to use all of my resources once aboard Galactica to see to it that all refugees are returned safely to civilization.

On the character card it says "launch and pilot a viper" so I took that to mean launch a new one (in addition to the 2 out there) and pilot that one.
The Law is correct. Apollo gets his own viper during setup (or if he is picked after an execution), meaning if you pick Apollo during game setup you get one extra starting viper on turn 1. (This is different from his "Alert Viper Pilot" OPT, which is only used once he's actually on the board.)
