I noticed it sways like a mother when you first scope in, it takes long enough to stabilize that there is a good chance for your target to have made it to cover. I like that.

None of the CoD quickscoping bullshit.

    Dear Subject Name Here,

Aperture Science is pleased to inform you that we have partnered with Valve to announce the gala CANCELLATION of the June 14 Portal 2 event at the Regal Theater. The event will be replaced by a surprise. And even though the cancellation of the event certainly counts as a surprise, we are pleased to further announce that the cancellation of the event is not THE surprise. However, per International treaties regarding the definition of the word "surprise", of which both Aperture Science and Valve are signatories, the time, date and content of the actual surprise will only become available as you experience the surprise.

If you'd like to ask fruitless questions about the E3 Portal 2 surprise or, more fruitfully, schedule an appointment to attend a Portal 2 screening at the Valve booth during E3, please contact Valve's Special Envoy to Surprises, Doug Lombardi.

    Thank you for <>

PS: The surprising record scratch is also not the surprise.

    could it be????

Or it's possible it means "E3/Portal 2 surprise."

I mean, did they just get developer/writers block or something? Did the left4deads really take up so much manpower to get them so far behind?

I think they're being overly ambitious. Iterating themselves crazy. Also, apparently working in a character that uses sign language?

I seem to recall hearing that they were trying to implement the portal gun for Gordan himself to use in Ep 3. Designing the relatively open levels that we're used to in HL that wouldn't be totally broken by the gun would certainly be a challenge.

well, he'll already own it when he buys orange box

it's just that there will then be an apple client available for him to dl as well once it's out
as far as I know, they don't make you buy separate mac and windows clients for any of their games

    Frustratingly so, yes.

But each of the levels in Portal was carefully crafted for the purpose of portal-ing.

In a different environment I doubt it would work so well.

    It really would.

Fortunately, you can justify enemies not wanting to take portals on account of them having a tendency to spontaneously start being suspended over death. Though perhaps that'd be less fun.
